Any of you volleyball experts have an idea what it would take to get a team to get to the "next level". It doesn't appear that the SEC volleyball teams are as good overall as the top teams were in the Big 12, although tu appears to be a power most years. I would have thought that finishing 2nd would have allowed us to be seeded and at least avoid tu for a couple of rounds.

Any thoughts?

The NCAA gave the SEC a second host site at Kentucky, which leads me to believe their 2 wins over us was the deciding factor.

I watched tu coach Jerritt Elliott's postgame interview, and he said he had thought A&M might get to host the 1st/2nd rounds because our RPI was 15 (Kentucky's was 19). But since we didn't get a host site, then there's something about a 400 mile radius from host sites when determining teams for each site....and that Texas and A&M would likely be grouped together a lot in the future if we don't both get to host.
