#2 Aggies vs #11 Tigers on the women's side, Auburn men come in ranked #9

We've never been to a swim meet but would like to go to one. Where do we park? Can we buy tickets "at the door." Any other basics we should know?

Admission is free. Enter through the front of the Rec Center and take the stairs in the lobby up to the seating area.

Normally it would be free on a Saturday to park in any of the Lot 100 areas, but there is a men's Basketball game at 3pm on Saturday so I'm not sure how early the parking folks will be out. If they are out and you have an A&M parking pass it's still free, or I believe it's $5.

If you plan to take any pictures during the meet, no flash photography because it can interfere with race starts and diving. Other than that, just cheer hard for the Ags during the races and after the dives.

The Texas mens and womens teams swim against Auburn this week at Auburn. So we might see what kind of shape they are in before they come to College Station.

For the swim meet first timer - the Rec at A&M is a great place to see a swim meet. It is comfortable and you'll have a great view of the pool and the diving well. Don't expect super fast times - neither team will be in peak racing shape right now. They will peak for the SEC championships and/or the NCAAs a few weeks later.

Expect the A&M women to handily beat Auburn. Expect the exact opposite on the mens side. Get a heat sheet, and make a point to find the races Breeja Larson, Sarah Henry, and Cammille Adams are racing.

I am planning to attend for the first time also since we have so many Olympians. By the way, men's basketball is playing in Lexington Ky, so I don't think they will be charging parking for that, but then again with the A&M Transportation department they might.

Yep, I messed that up. I amend my statement to "Just don't park in the Rec Center lot".

Very excited for this dual and the rest of the season leading up to NCAAs. Wish I could be there tomorrow to watch but hopefully I can watch some of the live stream on aggieathletics.com.

I guess it's over now as I don't see it on the live events listing on aggieathletics. Did anyone watch it?

I've been following live results. The last really (200 free) has yet to be posted. Our women were behind by 1 point. What was the final result?

Tough close loss for the women. Unfortunate DQ in medley relay and failed dive on the 1m. Auburn looked very good on both sides, kudos to them and we'll see them in 5 weeks. :-)

Disappointed by the women's loss. Both A and B medley relays DQ'd. Poor diving.

It looks like Auburn was more race ready - maybe their meet against the horns a few days before helped. Breeja had great swims.

Our men need a breaststroker in the worst way. Breeja beat them all. And not one A&M guy under 1:00 - a high school time. Troskot's 100 times were very good. Dalton and Enriquez swam well.

Is 56.6 a high school time?

That's much better, but Breeja might go 56 flat start at NCAAs!

Spice, where did cooper say that the Aggies invented that rest? I think he was referring to your undying theme that the men are always in trouble and doomed.

56+ or not relay split, our mens team is breaststroke challenged this year. Or do you think we have a 53 in the team somewhere?

What happened to Diego Suarez? He swam out of Houston and wasn't at the meet. I wasn't at the meet to see if he was on deck. Updates or news?

the men's program needs a 'Sumlin'

A quick ctrl+f indicates that Diego did not compete, meaning:

1) Ineligible
2) Suspended
3) Ill
4) No longer on team

Watched him swim in high school, he should have been the 53 BR guy that spice alludes to. We will see if he pops up at any of the remaining meets. If not, should we even bother to swim the medleys at SEC's?

Diego doesn't seem to be on the current roster.
