I can't imagine the struggle she went through to make that decision. I'm glad she is at peace with it and is ready to move on. That said, we haven't heard the last of Julia -- you can count on that.

Congrats on a phenomenal swimming career. There can only be one 'first' NCAA champion in swimming at Texas A&M. I'm glad and proud it was her. She was a model athlete and is a model Aggie.

Alia Atkinson won the event right after Julia's 100 free win. 2 consecutive Aggie National Champions...pretty cool stuff.
