UVA has the 5 guy in the nation playing 1 and the 1 guy in the nation playing 2. Be sure and call their AD and report them

There is nothing to compare between our players and Virginia's players. To have a team ranked 14 in the nation and the #1 player is not ranked is laughable IMO. I understand that Ore didn't play in the Fall, but he has played numerous matches this Spring and has no national ranking. Junior Ore would not even be in the lineup for Virginia. Poor comparsion!!!

Slick you are correct that he would not be in the lineup or be at 6 for Virginia. But the points about his potential are correct, and he tends to play to the competition. So I wouldn't mind leaving him at 1

I agree that he has the potential to play and possibly win at #1 but his results from last year and this year clearly show that he can not win at 1 on a consistent basis or even come close. Once the new rankings come out, Efferding will be top 20 in the nation and Ore will still be unranked, The SEC coaches will protest the lineup and Ore will not be at #1 assuming Denton doesn't already make the change.

I was mainly referring to the Virginia comment of their lineup anyways. They have 6 players that are all among the best in the nation individually so it is reasonable for them to play their guys just abut anyways they would like and they all have the win/loss records to back that up.

Oh junior won't win consistently at 1. But moving him to 2 won't change is winning percentage. If he is on, he is unbelievable. Sadly that doesn't happen to often.

The coaches may ask to move him down but I doubt it will happen.

I'd bet you that there are more teams doing this than you think. I doubt many coaches will protest the lineup since Junior didn't play in the fall. Fall tennis has so much to do with the rankings.

This is venting frustration but WTF happened at the end of the game where Angus was serving out the match?

Did the LSU guy appeal a call or something?

ETA: Thanks for the response below. I guess I'm at a post limit for rookies. On the video feed Niall looked beside himself. That must be so frustrating. He was shutout the next game I think as well.

ETA2: SlickRick - Yeah I know. I was just confused about what happened on the video because it looked as if Niall brought it back to deuce and then all of a sudden it was 5-5.

you guys are complaining over a line call. come on man! we just lost to a team ranked 68 in the nation on our home courts. that is pathetic!

Frustrating loss for the Ags.

I'm not sure what the deal was but most of the team just looked flat. There wasn't a lot of energy in their performance and LSU came to play.

Wow. #11 loses to #68, giving them their first SEC win, at home. Can't get much worse than that.

Shane got injured in doubles, so he was out. Forcing Behzad and Nial to play. Efferding didn't play nearly as well and the LSU kid on 2 looked like their best player. Harrison looked like he quit.

It was a bad night.

I have been watchin aggie tennis and other aggie sports for a long time and I have never seen one of our athletes deliberately not try in a sporting event quite like Harrison Adams. What an embarresment for our great school!

reborn, I'm with you on LSU's player at the two line. He was pretty solid and steady. It also didn't help Jeremy that it looked like his opponent was a mirror image of himself. They were both looking to grind back at the baseline and on this day, LSU's guy did it better.

One bright spot was Junior Ore. The dude was on his game and showed some of that top end potential.

I will give Junior some credit. He played very well that is for sure. About the only highlight of the day though unfortunately.

Don't overlook Szabo. He had a very dominating win on the 4 line. He and Ore were the only real bright spots, though, I will agree.

Agree , don't think junior was the only bright spot when Szabo wins convincingly at 4. Was such a hard situation for Niall to play in considering he has barely played any matches this year. Adams maybe needs to have a think about what it means to be a team player. Jeremy tried hard as usual, the other guy played really well. Hopefully things will be better for Arkansas .

I agree Szabo played well but it should be expected that he wins in that manner against a bad team ranked 68th in the nation down low in the lineup.

Bad loss when it comes to getting to host NCAA 1st and 2nd rounds.
