Nadal has a murderous draw. Has to face Del Potro and then Murray in the semifinals. Joker has a practical cake walk to the final so the favorite has to be him. I am interested in seeing what impact Boris Becker will have on Joker.

Tough to see Federer go out like this. He is not even going to be a speed bump anymore to the top players.

This is my favorite grand slam for some reason with the US Open a close second. I just enjoy for some reason waking up at 3:00 am on a Sunday morning to watch the final.

They really need to give consideration to moving this tournament to February. It was simply to hot yesterday for the fans to enjoy the experience. I frankly got tired of hearing them say it.

I read an article about Federer being hard headed about more than one thing. I guess when you are that great you get to be hard headed. Believe it or not the biggest thing was not the racket head from a 90 to a 98. The article I read is he is the only top flight player that does not use a two handed back hand. The writer said he would have beaten Nadal in three major finals if he had simply employed a two handed back hand.

Of course that is the difference between those that do and those that write. Federer is still the GOAT. Nadal may very well surpass him but now Nadal is getting to the point his body will start shutting down.

Andy Murrayy however is starting to have physical problems. Del Potro has struggled his entire career with injuries. Only Joker right now can stop Nadal from surpassing Federer in career grand slams. Funny considering Federer despises Joker.

I simply can't watch women's tennis. Sharapova sounds like she is having a baby out there. That has to be a violation of the rules.

The heat is just ridiculous. Like one of the commentators said, they shouldn't be making them finish their set when the heat rule is implemented. Stop play immediately and start back up when the temp falls. Just makes more sense.

There are quite a few things about the Aussie that does not make sense. Seems when you put people in suits they make stupid decisions. The guy last night explaining it to ESPN came off as pretty silly. It may be an Aussie thing we just do not understand. Those are some pretty tough people down there.

That guy that talked last night (Craig Tiley) has a pretty sweet gig. He's the head tennis coach at Illinois most of the year, then goes home down under for a month to run the Aussie Open

With Del Potro out that will make Nadal's draw much easier. He will still have to get through Murray but I do not think that will be a problem. So now my initial prediction is looking shaky. Joker does not have a mental block against Nadal like Federer did but I am looking forward to the final. There is still plenty of tennis left to play but that is the way it is shaping up IMO.

Nadal and Ferrer are wide open.

Joker will run Ferrer out of the stadium. That will be the semi in the bottom half but Joker will murder him in straight sets IMO. Only my opinion.

People are so prone to look at Federer's age and think on downward slope but Ferrer is 31 and will be 32 in a few months. And he has never won a major. Joker will dispatch him like a bug on the windshield.

Well that was Damn impressive by Roger. Straight sets win over tsonga.

Impressive indeed. Murray vs Fed should be a good one.

I was watching Federer the other night and he is moving like a cat. He can still cover the court in an elite fashion. The last few years he has had problems with Tsonga but did not exhibit any of that last night.

To expect him to win 3 more and take home the Aussie is just too much for him at this stage. If he can somehow blast Murray off the court then I do think he can beat Nadal but not follow that up with a victory over Joker. Too many miles on the body.

Joker seems distracted down there. The crowd is getting to him a little. You have seen this type of behavior from him in the past and he was not winning when he acted this way. Not to say he will not close that off and become more focused. But Joker is fooling with them too much.

He played a lot more serve and volley and was effective. Took control of his service games and didn't allow the big hitter to frustrate him. It was real impressive.

Agree there's no chance he can get through this gauntlet for another title. It would take upsets of both Nadal and Djoker by other guys IMO for Roger to get through and win.

Actually, with absolutely no research being done, a run of Tsonga, Murray, Nadal, and Djoker would have to be the most impressive run ever to a title(thought it won't happen).

That would be defeating the 10, 4, 1, and 2 seeds to a GS title, as well as a 2-time GS champion, a 13 time GS champion, and a 7 time GS champion.

That would be unheard of, even for Roger...which is why he won't do it.

nah. There's no way. When I woke up early this morning to pick up the action around 4 I was already expecting him to either be 1-1 or 2 sets down.

I think he could definitely beat Murray but he's going to have to stay aggressive and not lose confidence. I think lately he is starting to accept his loss of a stop when he goes against the big guns.

QF is a good result. Anything more would be real impressive.

I think he will beat Murray. I think Nadal will obliterate him.
