Howdy TexAgs,
My name is Andrew Ball, a new intern here at TexAgs. I’m going to be covering the smaller sports here on the site. I’ll try and get a lot of recaps going, and also hope to get some coach interviews coming in shortly. If you all have any requests or comments let me know, so we can get this other sports forum going! Here the first recap of the swim meet today vs. Georgia.
The highly ranked girls started the afternoon off strong, narrowly out touching Georgia in the opening 200 Yard Medley Relay. From there, #4 Georgia rebounded, taking home first in the next two events, which included a 1-2 finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Senior Paige Miller got the Aggies back on track with a second and a half win in the 100 Yard Back. Olympians Breeja Larson and Camille Adams continued the winning streak in their respective strokes, Breaststroke and Butterfly. In the end, the women actually ended up tying Georgia 150-150.
The boys’ afternoon didn’t go as smoothly. The team was unranked, and it showed early that they were the underdogs. Event 4, the Men’s 1000 Free was a definite low point, where Georgia took home a 1-2-3 finish. The high point in the afternoon was during the 50 Free when Kyle Troskot and Cory Bolleter finished first and second, respectively. The final count for the boys side was 173.0-127.0.
I will put up a link to full results soon!
