The Aggies host the Crimson Tide Friday night at the Mitchell Tennis Center at 6pm. The Tide is coming off a big win over Kentucky last week,which helped the Aggies in the SEC standing. The Aggies and Georgia both have one loss. I realize Friday is the start of Chilifest, but we have had some energetic crowds the last few matches, and I am sure the guys appreciate it. Anyone in the area Friday evening, stop by and support the men.

Ags win 4 to 0...match much closer than the score would indicate....Bama is pretty good....doubles was really dicey with Junior and Jackson losing a tiebreaker at one and Harry and Shane winning the point at two on a double fault by the Bama boy from Houston...Auburn tomorrow at 6...weather permitting....

Jeremy and Jordan were I amazing in doubles. They have won 22 matches this season.

The singles matches that we won, shane, Jordan, Jackson were all won in straight sets. Junior was also at match point.

I certainly agree about Jeremy and Jordan; they made short work of their match with an 8-3 win; people with longer memories than mine can tell us when the last time we had all three doubles teams ranked. Going into last night Junior and Jackson were ranked 2, Jeremy and Jordan were 44 and Harry and Shane were 55; also nice to have three ranked singles guys with Harry at 13,Shane at 26, and Jeremy at 52. The Mississippi State match in Starkville on the 13 is looking bigger and bigger.

Aggies top Auburn 4-0; Auburn had to sit a number of players, so the match was not as tough as it normally would be, but still nice to get it out of the way; got to play a couple of younger guys, who did fine under the circumstances...on to Mississippi...

why did Auburn sit so many guys? They played doubles! Why not singles?

Coach Denton said they made they made theb finals in an earlier tournament and the number of allowable matches caught them. So I don't think the guys they sat played doubles.

Maybe I shouldn't post by phone...that was a garbled response....in any event their guys had to sit a match and I guess the coach decided this is the one to sit...they were gamers, but really overmatched at the back end of the lineup...on to Mississippi...
