My 11 year old son is taking english riding lessons. Need to pick him up some paddock boots and some pants.

I'm new to this world - I grew up riding western. Any recommendations on where to shop? We live near Kingwood, but anywhere between here and College Station is doable.

I think I'm looking at Ariat paddock boots - that's what the folks at the stable seem to like. Should I be looking at other brands? And what's the difference between breeches and jodhpurs?

Please help a newbie barn mom....

Dover saddlery online is a great place to get items if you know sizes. Paddock boots are expensive and breeches, Yikes! They are always having sales. Good luck!
