What is the story with the womens team? I know indoor is not our strength, but 15th?

Looking at the meet, It was really disappointed on the women side especially when one considers we have an indoor track and on paper we have some of the best sprinters.
Something may have been wrong with some of our sprinters. Most of them just hasn't perform indoors Kamaria Brown, Jennifer Madu, Olivia Ekpone, Ashton Purvis etc. The 4x400 relay placing 12th in 3.38 was not so good either. Maybe they are not fully fit and would be ready for outdoors.
Laque has not competed in the jumps indoors and would have a potential scorer. Still no one knows the reason
After this disappointment I expect some fireworks outdoors from our sprinters

Oregon was again impressive even though they did not repeat their championship. Jenifer Prandini was impressive winning the long jump and placing in both 60 and 200m. She has been performing both indoors and outdoors for Oregon.
It seems like sprinters from other schools are competing very well in the sprints USC, Oregon, Florida, Arkansas and schools have a couple of good distance runners to compliment the sprints.

Also we have not gotten faster in 60m. Other schools are much faster than us in the 60m now. We had one qualifier in the 60m and she place 8th in final. Most of our points come from the sprints so if our sprinters don't perform well we struggle a lot.
Maybe a couple of NCAA type of middle and distance runners could surely help. Arkansas won the meet because of an round performance, sprints, middle distance, distance and field events.

I know coach Henry would have the team ready for outdoors. I like our chances of repeating once our women stay healthy

Don't forget the sprint hurdles. We normally do well on 60m hurdles indoors and 100m hurdles outdoors both women and men. This year we don't have any good sprint hurdlers and hurdles could not contribute to points at NCAA indoors. In the past we Wayne Davis, Domique Flemming, Gabby Mayo, Natasha Ruddock etc
We have good 400m hurdlers in Shamier Little and Gregory Coleman.

On the men side Devin Jenkins and Shavez Hart did not do too well in the sprints even though Shavez had the top time in the 200m. Carlyle did not run too well indoors either

Once healthy, I think our women would do well outdoors.

On the men side it would interesting to see the make up of the 4x100 and 4x400m relay. Some of the 400m men would have to run 4x100 relay with two specialist 100m, 200m sprinters in Shavez Hart and Devin Jenkins.
Remember Aldrich Bailey ( still don't know why and haven't seen anything official) is not on the team and both Justyn Thymes and Ojay Ferjusion did not make it to College Station.

I believe the relays would still be formidable with Lendore and Taplin fitting in the 4 x 100

Just hope we have enough scorers to compete and win the outdoor championship

LIttle tripped by Arkansas runner that even announcers said cut her off. Lendore gets a pole vault stuck in his face while running his race.

Just survive that sh** and get out.
