Why can't we win or lose with class, our players the last few seasons have turned into something that doesn't represent Texas A&M and being an Aggie. I blame the coaching staff for letting the dis-respect and non-tennis behaviors from the players on the sideline for getting out of control.

From a pure tennis fan aspect, it disgust me how our athletes act. If this was football, or any other sport these players would be off the team.

I think the second serve noise is too much. I also think the players loose their cool too much to the umps.

Today though, I thought some of the fans were getting unclassy when everyone came over to watch Jordi win it for us.

Harry looked great and Jordi really fought back. Well done team and BTHO out of the next OSU.

Can you elaborate on what happened?

Back when I was a student, there was an opportunity to take a bus ride with the team to local Big 12 matches. I remember going to Austin and Waco to watch the men. Really great memories with these trips.

I know the next match is on a Thursday at 5pm, but is anything like this occurring for the NCAAs?

During the OSU-New Mexico match, the singles player for UNM on court 2 had to ask the chair for assistance due to the Oklahoma State players in the stadium club mocking his sexuality. I've never seen that before.

But I guess continue to be disappointed in our players showing emotion during sports.

Sports IS emotional. The players feed off of their teammates' and fans' emotions. Heaven help us if someone is actually having fun or is fired up on the court.

It can be hard for a coach to tell a kid who has been told he is entitled his whole life how to act without ticking him off. Sometimes they have to pick their battles. Unfortunately, tennis isn't the same as football.

However, I couldn't agree with you more. It's the nature of being a "country club sport". I see it even at the high school level

I was there, our players were yelling and making noise during second serves, yelling "here comes a double" after first serves were missed, yelling at opposing players on the court, telling opponents they were choking. I agree it was out of control, I have no problem with positive emotion, but when they read the waiver about fans showing sportsmanship, our players did not. Cheer for your teammates, but don't try to intimidate the opponents.

I have been to a lot of college tennis matches, and i must agree that our players did not represent what this university stands for. I would rather lose with class, than embarrass Texas A&M.

Big XII apparently allows cheering our yelling at any point in the match, the SEC does not allow it during serves..the NCAA follows the SEC rules..OSU players were all over some of our guys, especially on line 6 when the match got tight....the chair finally enforced the rule and things calmed down a bit....In the days of the Mitchell Maniacs and Aaron Jack and some of our basketball team that was supporting mens tennis things got pretty hot and heavy....Coach Cass encouraged big aggressive crowds, especially after our trip to Charlottesville where we were nearly run out of the Boars Head Inn courts by the Virginia support group...things are much, much tamer now, in some respects because we don't draw the crowds we once did....I think there were around 500 on Saturday...I realize we were competing with baseball who had a sell out, but we should be able to do better. In any event it will be interesting to see crowd behavior in Waco this week....I have been to many matches there and they get after you pretty good...I hope we get to play them, however....

Does anyone hear these UVA players yelling and screaming between points? How utterly classless.

Please name one team at A&M that allows their players to behave in this manner. Just because Virginia behaves that way doesn't make it ok for Aggies to behave that way. That is something a longhorn would do. Oh, I almost forgot, Steve Denton is a longhorn.

you aren't getting out of this one that easy blake. I am sure every sports to at A&M has had certain incidents that have been embarrassing to each of their programs, but they are dealt with and eventually they don't happen anymore on a consistent basis. Anytime you see a men's tennis match that is close or they are in jeopardy of losing, this type of behavior takes place all the time.

I was at the match today and didn't see anything more than mediocre play on our part. But I think it was a good year nonetheless.
