Proven aggie who wants to be here! Current players would stay, if Hyman waits, he follows Joffe and we lose every player whose a freshman or sophomore.

Anyone who has been around Mark knows what a nice guy he is. All the girls love him and he will stay loyal to the program as he always has. It would be a no brainer for him step up as head coach at the very least to keep all the girls together. He gets my vote. Elizabeth Schmidt turned down tu so one would think that she would turn down A&M.

I heard that it is already a done deal that Weaver is leaving to Austin. Part of the deal was they threw him a ton of money and he is gone. He is basically the interim coach for the time being until someone new is hired.

I can remember watching Mark Weaver play back in the early 90's. Without a doubt one of the best players ever to play here. There is no doubt he would do well. He has to have learned a lot and experienced a lot during all of his coaching days here under two completely different coaches. What is holding them back from just doing it?

Rick, once again your intelligence amazes me, Mark would never leave A&M if offered the Head Coach job, if passed over, then no one would blame him for leaving, but those desicions have not been made.

Quote from The Eagle: "Professionally it's been not only the best four years of my life, it's given me my fondest memories," Joffe said. "To watch Ines Deheza win the final point to take us to the NCAA tournament final and to do that with the team I was so fond of and to do that with [associate head coach] Mark Weaver, my partner in all of this.

Joffe has always credited Weaver for helping with the success of the program. First A&M team in any sport to win the SEC. Is that not enough experience for Weaver to deserve a shot. No chance that we bring a head coach in that has experienced these results. Let's not forget 3 top 10 finishes in a row. Weaver was all a part of this.

Finally, if the team stays on board it is a super strong team and they also have a top international recruit coming in as well. The most important thing to do is don't screw up the hire and go with the safe bet which is keeping Weaver.

hyman's M.O. is to do as little as possible, so promoting Weaver would be right up his alley. Of course classic hyman would be ignoring a great candidate in-house who wants the job to hire someone from outside.

If Weaver was going to be the guy, it should have been announced concurrently with Joffe's jumping ship. I can easily see the AD snubbing Weaver, Weaver leaving, much of the team leaving, and A&M tennis going into the crapper for the foreseeable future. It's how Hyman rolls.

I'm with sharp dressed man. If it was going to happen, it should have been announced immediately. Would have looked much better and would have made most everyone feel better about the whole ordeal. Certainly Hyman had to have known for at least some time.

I think you are overestimating hymen. Anyway they are going to have to post the job, state rules, etc.
