I see current students Shamier Little (400 H) and Shelbi Vaughn (Discus) qualified. Anybody know when they leave?

They leave in a couple of days. I know the USATF has a training camp in Japan but I don't know if they'll participate in that or not.

Is Little expected to get any looks for the 4x400?

She's not listed in the 4x4 pool.

Little about to go in her Heat

Near disaster for little. She clips last hurdle, nearly falls...holding 3rd with top 4 going through.....Eases up gets passed by 4th and and almost dropped to 5th BUT still qualifies automatically and into the semi finals. Big lesson learnt for a rookie at Open competition. On to the next one!

TV coverage today is at noon on NBC. Looks like Bralon Taplin finished last in his 400 heat. Did not see Deon Lendore's name listed in the results. Shamier goes again at 6:10 am our time Monday.

Shamier qualified for the finals but will be starting in lane 2.

Shelbi finished 14th with 2 competitors passing her on the last round of prelim throws - top 12 advanced to the finals.

Great accomplishment for Shamier to make the finals.

Little won Silver from lane 2. Impressive.

Incredible performance by Shamier. INCREDIBLE!!!

She barely made the finals - had the slowest time of the finalists in their semifinal runs.
As a result, she had to run in Lane 2, the same lane she had to run in the semifinals.
She now has three of the top five 400H times in the world this year.

Her short history since enrolling at A&M is extremely impressive. Hope she stays here two more years.
