Bob McKinley brought a hell of a lot to the table - great playing experience, great reputation for developing junior players, great coaching reputation in general and just a terrific reputation overall in the tennis community nationwide.
I think A&M's success of attracting top US players is directly attributable to Bob.
Bob's retired so what direction does the program go from here with an assistant ?
I think US recruiting falls off with the loss of Bob. If I were going to hire the assistant, I'd look for a great recruiter -
probably a former NCAA All-American ( preferably foreign) who couldn't quite make it on the tour or is just coming off the tour who has great foreign connections and is looking to make a career in college coaching.
So my fellow Aggie tennis fans - describe the qualifications of whom you think we should be looking for.
It goes without saying Slick Rick's top criterion is no tu ties. What about everyone else ?
