At Penn State next week in the Sweet 16!!!

That was a great game. Good heads up play by two of our defenders to save two consecutive shots in the goal. Great job Ags!

Great game; Katie Jo was tremendous with some incredible saves!

Once again Kati Jo was awesome- but props also go to our two defenders who used their heads to block consecutive shots on goal- One of the Duke girls found out the hard way that KJ can have a mean streak- it was awesome!

Kati Jo was all over that Duke girl. It was worth the card, I think. Wow!

We asked Kati after the game what she said to that girl- "Get up b***** and do it again"- it definately was worth it

yeah, i got my 2 dollars worth right there i decided. KJ was awesome!

Could we get Katie Jo to play a little linebacker for the Ags American football team? It sounds like she has a little bit of that thuggery (word?) that Quentin Coryatt was talking about!! Way to go soccer team - it sounds like you are hitting your stride at just the right time, as usual!

The game was awesome! Disappointed in the crowd though.

I loved it when the students started chanting Wrecking Crew after KJ knocked down the Duke defender! The grunts when the Duke he-goalie kicked the ball were awesome!

happy days- KJ was retrieving the ball after going out near her goal- when she came back to place the ball before kicking, the Duke girl just stood in her way and didnt move- the Duke girl kind of "shoved" (its kind of hard to knock KJ down)- KJ shoved the girl to the ground and then leaned over and said whats quoted above- needless to say the ref carded both girls and Duke's momentum went out of the game then because Duke only had one more shooting attempt the rest of the game. (If only our football team played as physical as our girls do)

The Duke player came at KJ after she caught the shot attempt and jumed into her. KJ pushed her away and put the ball down for the goal kick and the Duke player just stood there so KJ pushed her down and away, then stood over her. Then she helped her up.

That makes it sound a little to inocent. KJ stood over the ball for a long while till the Duke player decided to come after the ball, then KJ picked up the ball. The Duke player jumped into her which was totally uncalled for, and KJ pushed her to the ground while she was hit in the air. Then KJ pushed her back down and stood over her and said above. It is not quite like she was clearing room for a kick. There was a lot of emotion there and a lot of pushing from KJ. I give her credit for standing her ground. Glad she didn't get kicked out.

Congrats Aggies on the win, taking down Duke. I hate Duke and the ACC and anytime they lose, it's a good thing. I watched the Friday match vs. SMU on the video feed, be nice if more schools could provide video feed for their matches.

My Gators survived in double OT today to move on to the 3rd round today. Down 3-0 in the 2nd half to Ole Miss, they scored 3 goals in a 10 minute span to tie it up. Great game. Maybe we'll see ya at the Final 4. Good luck this weekend against Penn State.

Just got home from the game. Future man has it right. KJ was holding the ball and running down the clock I think. The Duke player got pissed I guess, started moving quickly toward KJ, and rushed into her.

The team really hustled today and played inspired ball. I hope they bring that same aggressiveness with them when they play Penn State.

obviously, most of you dont know much about soccer, but its a good thing that you are still into it

the ball was sent downfield to the goal line, kj stopped it with her feet and just chilled there wasting time until one of the duke players came to make her pick it up.
normally you just run up and dont actually try to get the ball, the girl ran full speed and jumped into kj, kj didnt liek that and pushed her down, then stood over her and said a lot of stuff to her

kat didnt play much, because our coach isnt very good
he was subbing the forwards often, which is good, but he very rarely subbed the halfbacks and the defenders, and it was very obvious to me that he needed to because they were runnin out of gas and we needed some fresh legs in their

Yeah, PatAg has it right. KJ was just standing next to the ball running down the clock and the Duke forwards didn't realize that it was still on the ground. The entire Duke bench was yelling at the forwards to go toward it to make KJ pick it up to stop stalling. The girl got too aggressive and went right at KJ. That was clearly a really bad move by the Duke girl, she should have just run in and run out.

I don't know if I would say our coach isn't very good, but you could tell that our defense was barely holding on at the end, and we're substituting forwards. Duke had some scary attempts that good defense, good goalkeeping and plain old good luck kept out of the net.

He was subbing midfielders/defenders in for forwards. I'm not a soccer expert but that seems to make some sense to me if you're trying to hold on to a lead.

It does in a way, but he didn't make those changes until very late, and it didn't necessarily relieve any tired defenders -- it just added bodies.

Problem is that there is no one to bring in off the bench. Tell me your going to sub a Burke or a Strutz. Not a chance. They play till they can't play anymore and they still deliver. If G took them off he should be run out of College Station. It was an incredible win for our ladies and one that we should all be proud of.

Hmmmm, our "terrible" coach just notched his 200th career victory, winning 184 of them in 11 years at A&M, has a 74% winning rate, 2 Conference Championships, 2 Big 12 Tournament championships, 9 NCAA tournament appearances including 2 in the final 8, 3 in the sweet 16, 2 in the second round (so far), a great summer camp system......

If R.C. had done equally well on the "American football" side, the anouncers at halftime would be saying "Now forming at the north end of SLOCUM field, the Fighting Texas Aggie Band..."


As to subs, how many subs can you use in college ball? Don't they limit subs at World Cup level? DOn't know about college and just how much flexibility coaches have in that area.
