The scary thing is that with such a young team that has made it into the sweet 16 and has won as many games as they have, we will have over 75% of our current team still here two years from now- Strutz will be hard to replace and after next year, Burke and Labhart, but with good recruiting the coaching staff could fill in those holes-- I also believe that Sandy Stern will be a good canidate to fill in Emma's spot- she has already been subbing for Emma this season, likewise with Lauren Pfister and Cristina Echavarry.

Give me Echeverry (sp) over Emma any day of the week but twice on the day that they play.
Emma should come in to sub her, she is far better then Emma in my opinon. Emma is fast only on long runs, but not at all on spurts..........

Actually Emma and Echavarry play different positions- I meant likewise for Lauren subbing for Echavarry

Tina's numbers are drastically down from what they were a year ago, so I don't buy your conclusion when comparing to Emma. Lauren will need to improve and improve some more if she will ever be a major contributor. Sandy does what she can but will you ever win a championship with those two as your go to forwards?

Both Sandy and Lauren will have next year to further develop while Emma and Tina finish their senior year- and ummm...Lauren is not a forward

Let's hope that the Aggies play their best game of the year this Saturday and can leave Happy Valley as the victor. The team appears focused and should be still riding their high coming off the two classic wins of this past weekend. Got to wish them the best. Remember UCLA a year ago.

Tina can't play the whole game -- she's solid in spurts but runs out of gas while Emma is at top speed the entire match. I think they compliment each other well as Tina has a nose for the goal, a strong shot, and good one-on-one moves while Emma, although not a technically skilled player, can run for miles and brings energy and enthusiasm to the match. Tina's numbers are down because her conditioning is down from last year. Emma's numbers are down as well but that has more to do with losing last year's seniors.

The main difference between the two (aside from conditioning) is that Tina can create her own shot while Emma relies on others to provide her with opportunities. Althogh she is a great athlete with the God-given skills to play at the next level, unfortunately she has relied on her speed for too long without developing the rest of her game.

So while Tina COULD be the #1 option if she were in better shape, for now Emma is the best we've got. If Kat continues to develop and depending on how good this hotshot recruit we just signed is, these two might find themselves on the bench at the opening whistle next season.
