AJ doubled faulted.

Mississippi State wins SEC Men's Tournament.

Pathetic feeling to have so many opportunities and can't capitalize.

What is the definition? I'm an Aggie so I'm curious.

Oh, not losing to an SEC team all year, being the #1 seed, and then blowing two match points in the final match to win the entire thing only to lose via a double fault. You know what exactly what I'm talking about.

Had two chances to hold serve and win outside of the tiebreak... then multiple chances blown in the tiebreak. Unforced errors and double faults.

No I don't. That's why I asked. I'm an Aggie. So I have a lot of Aggie moments. Just wanted to know what you meant. Still unsure.

Positives: Aggie #7 Patrick Kypson won over #2 Nuno Borges

Surprises: Losses by Arthur Rinderknech and AJ Catanzariti and loosing the Doubles Point.

After dominating the 2nd set it looked like Arthur was pretty uninspired. Im sure it's tough to be locked in when your teammate is in command and all you need is 1 point. Makes me wonder if we wouldn't have been better off if AJ loses in straight sets and Arthur is the last man standing with a set to go? Who knows, we still blew way too many chances to serve out sets!

Winners want to win that match, regardless of how well your teammates are playing.

Arthur got overruled by the chair in the third set and then melted down. Was extremely disappointing to see.

Easy Knute Rockne! I know you've seen many team matches. You can't tell me that when a tight match is about to be clinched, others still playing aren't at least distracted? Arthur is definitely a winner and a helluva teammate! Nonetheless, It was surprising he lost that match no matter what the circumstances were.

We are currently ranked #5 in the ITA rankings. So, if we are seated from 1 to 8 for the NCAA Championships, then we could host the first three rounds of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships.

Is this correct?

We lost a close match to a top ten team without our number 3 player. Let's not over analyze this and take out our frustration on invidual players for not meeting our expectations.

Kypson winning at one was a breakthrough for him against the MSU guy. The second season begins shortly and I like our chances against anyone when we're at full strength.

We will host the 1st 2 rounds then off to Ncaa's hopefully.

I am saying the same thing you are. Very surprising that he played so bad in the third set. He has clinched a lot of matches for us and it's not like him to finish that out in that situation.

Yeah not the same as baseball and softball. Final 16 is at one site.

In 2019, it will be like baseball and softball. I thought it was this year. My mistake.

I watched the last match on TV and could not believe what I witnessed. I use to play tennis years ago. Average but competitive around the city. On match point one has got to put the first serve in. Win it later. Another, he had the M S competitor and tried too aggressively to put him away. Lack of patience cost that match.

It's harder than it looks, my man. That you can say you can't believe what you saw lets me know you have never had to do it in any sport where the outcome really mattered.

Anyone that has ever played any sport at a high-level has choked a time or two (or more!) mentally and physically and knows exactly how it feels. I feel for the young man and hope he gets a chance to redeem himself in the big tournament.

Also the "just put the serve in" thing is pretty generic advice and not always correct.

With certain players in a variety of circumstances winning the point on the serve (or at least being in control of the point after the serve) is the best chance they're going to have to win the point.

"Just roll the serve in" and let Foshey hammer a fh return like he was there at the end? Good call!

Aggies number 5 national seed. Play Lamar first then hopefully the winner of Baylor/Arizona State a week from Saturday to move to the sweet 16 at Wake Forest.

Not much in tennis, but some. But how about track, football, golf, etc.? Plenty there.

Point is Mr. Harry do not criticize some one for making a comment of which many of my Aggie friends agree. They were accurate and professional. People like you just attack with no basis. I stand by my comments that the Aggie tennis player blew it for he lacked discipline at that time in the match. MS player just played D and won with that strategy.

I disagree. Read jptx post for exactly what would have happened if he took your advice.

He got tight in a big moment and didn't perform. It happens. Seems like an accomplished sportsman such as yourself might get it a little more than you do.

Oh well, on to to the NCAAs. Gig 'em.

Didn't see this until now but wondering how you could be so obtuse. It's kind of similar to the Ags losing in baseball to tcu in 15 innings on a routine throw to the plate for a trip to Omaha.

Or losing in the second round 5 straight years in basketball on the last possession.

Or having t.u. kick a walk off field goal for the win in your final game ever against them or blowing a 34 point lead in the season opener against UCLA for the second biggest collapse in college football history.

There are your definitions of classic Aggie moments. If you're still unsure I can provide plenty more examples. I'm wondering if maybe you only follow men's tennis or live life in a coma.
