Game set match Wake Forest. Tennis is just one of those sports where a new set can change the momentum in a flash.
Proud of this team. Took the number 1 team to the distance on their courts, their fans and countless weather delay. To make them sweat and take it to the last game you can't ask for anything else.
Great season guys, SEC champions and making it to the Final Four.

Smith fought hard to get to 3 .
The bottom part of the line-up showed a lot of grit to tie it up. Great season.

Tough loss - Great season.
That's a tough spot for a January freshman, last man standing with a trip to the natty on the line playing against a redshirt senior on his home court. It's a shame it ended that way, but a hell of a run by the Ags.
If Kypson had kept his cool and kept his immaturity in check, we would be going to the finals.

I agree with you, I just don't agree with placing the blame for a team loss on one player.
So proud of this team! Love Aggie tennis. I've been playing almost 30 years myself. That was tough for Smith to be in that situation for a Freshman. Looking forward to next year's run as well.
Also he's a not even even one and done. If he had been around a little longer maybe being an Aggie would mean more to him and maybe he would have fought harder mentally and physically.
Tennis is a Team sport. You win as a Team and you lose as a Team.

There's no guarantee that he would've won had he shown up. Gojo could have still pulled it out in a 3rd set or something.
They were fun to watch all year, and they were fun to watch today. They played as a Team today and they ALL fought hard. They are an outstanding group of young men. The coaching and support staff can be included in the outstanding category. Something all Aggies and Aggie fans can be proud of. Now, let's build some modern facilities.
Playing against easily the best collegiate men's tennis team this year, in their environment, we came so close to pulling off a huge upset. Players gave it their best.

You're right. No guarantee.
But you'd think the top junior in the nation with a semester playing the best collegiate players in the country could do better than 2&1. At least show some fight. Felt like the first time we played Miss St. Pitiful.

Wake forest just beat OSU 4-2 in another very competitive match that could have gone either way.
OSU #4 was up 5-3 serving for the set to send them to 3 but the WF guy reeled off 4 straight games to clinch it for WF. At number 1 the OSU guy won the first set and was in a second set tie break.

Kypson won
Val took Arthur's spot (crazy that he happened to be the next in line) and beat Dukes 1
Jordi is 3-3 in the third set

Can somebody clarify what the team looks like next year? We lose 3 seniors.. were they our best players? Do we expect to be Top 5 going into the season? Or were our 3 seniors our 3 best players?
We lose Kypson (probably), Arthur, AJ, and Jordi. Not sure who we have signed for next year, but they have huge shoes to fill.
Edit: forgot who we signed so looked it up. We will be young for a few years but they have potential.
