The headline in the 12thman.com story used the word "Dominates" and we did. In the story about the Rice match Mark said we would do better and we took it to them from the get go. Rice took us to 4 3rd sets yesterday but we pretty much swept through tu. I see only 2 seeded teams lost, tu and 11 seed FSU. NCAA bracket says we play Vandy at 1 on Saturday.

We definitely dominated. You could feel the energy we brought to the match. If you hadn't have known the rankings, you'd have thought we were 20 spots higher than texas. I think having the tough match with Rice helped us a lot today
And of course playing in the SEC helps!! Especially in Tennis in the SEC!
Weaver has made the Sweet 16 twice in the last 3 years. Head coach for only 4 years since Joffe deserted the program in 2015. Sweet 16 in 2017 with no assistant coach. Sweet 16 in 2019 with all freshman and sophomore. That is saying a lot! Sweet 16 has been made only 5 times in the history of the program with one NCAA finals in 2013. This guy deserves some love!

Anyone see Joffe's horrible interview about jumping off of a building after they got it handed to them? What an awful thing to say and how stupid are the people at t.u. for posting it for all the world to see. In a society with so many mental health issues this is horrible. Thank God he is no longer representing Texas A&M.
And will only get better with Jess back next year. Just another Blue Chip recruit in the waiting!

I like Howard and he was always super nice to my father and I, but that is a huge lack of judgement on his part.

Ladies are currently in Nashville, we play Vandy Saturday for a spot in the Quarterfinals in Orlando
Bigfoot, I have to disagree with you. The next step for BOTH tennis teams is get the 12th Man to build an indoor tennis facility that will rival anything in the SEC. I was embarrassed during the tournament that we had to look at the other school's spectators and have them mumble under their breath that, "At THEIR school the teams would be able to move inside and not have to be at the mercy of the weather."

Well yeah. I didn't take the question the way you did, though. I took it as what's the next match for the ladies.
Everyone and their dog knows the next step for both programs is indoors. They're a long time coming. I don't think they'll be happening anytime soon, unfortunately.
Ladies are down 0-1 after doubles. #3 ran out of time.
Vandy won the doubles point. Makarova nd Goldsmith won at #1 doubles. Watching the streaming you can hear the baseball game across the street. Unfortunately that includes the infamous whistler.
Ouch, Riley lost the first set on a double fault. We won 3 first sets.
Down 3-0
Lost 4-0. The matches that we won the first set in had all gone to the 3rd set.

Any chance that Tatiana and Jayci get into the doubles finals? I think they were the second alternate.
I also see the top 8 seeds all advanced. Only us and UCF won the other team's home court.
Here now at the NCAA championships. Vanderbilt takes the doubles point from GA.
GA wins 4-3. South Carolina next vs Duke.

They traveled to Orlando with Katya and are now first alternate. Jordan seemed pretty confident someone would drop.

GA defeats Duke 4-2. Now onto the finals vs Stanford, in which I think GA takes this one. But GA vs Duke was a great match to watch live.
Once again Stanford wins the Natty. Natty #20 I read somewheres. They defeat GA 4-0. After watching the quarters and semis, I honestly didnt think they were the team to beat. Duke and Georgia looked strong.
I don't know if Georgia is better than Stanford or not but UGA simply ran out of gas against Duke in the late match the day before. The UGA team that played Stanford wasn't playing at near the energy level of the UGA team that beat Duke.
Agreed. Womens had to play 3 days in a row. After the quarters being played on Thursday, the men had Friday off.
It was a great event. I'll be back in 2 years being hosted again here at the USTA campus. Hoping both Mens and Womens make a deep run then.
