2p hockey on a Monday. Gonna be one suuuuper exciting first period.

I inadvertently am working from home today, so not upset about that.

The Stars are just making everything look difficult right now. Can't ever get set up on the power play and generate any quality shots.

Maybe we are trying the St. Louis Blues patented approach to winning a Stanley cup. But I doubt it.

Man, this is not a good start for a team that was supposed to compete for it all this year.

I'm tired of all the same ol **** the Stars have been peddling since the start of the Nill era.

In 2015-16 this team was held up alongside Tampa as the model of how to play the new run and gun style of hockey. Then we lose to STL in game 7 and Nill goes full ****** by keeping Kari and then taking the team's identity in the exact OPPOSITE direction! It's been all downhill since.

Now we play 90's caveman hockey and can't score worth a damn. We have a ton of old, worthless, "gritty" players, and those players who are supposed to be our stars have gotten paid and apparently couldn't give a **** anymore (looking at you specifically, Benn and Seguin).

And what drives me even more crazy is Nill and Monty keep doubling down on their stupidity! Why is Polak on this team? Comeau? Cogliano? Why are young guys not given a chance? We even destroy our prospects: Nuke, Gury, Honka, etc.

Any chemistry that is found on a line is quickly squashed. Why were Janmark and Hintz split up today?? If something ain't broke, don't try and fix it!

Now we're saddled with a 20th century GM, a coach who has lost the locker room, and bunch of has-been players with massive contracts and NTCs. But this year we were definitely "Cup Contenders." Kiss my ass.

At least we have the WC to look forward to during this dumpster fire of a season. /rant

Yeah, pretty much nails it at this point.

This thing is so bad right now that we are actually sitting here hoping that Corey Perry can provide a spark.

Agree with most of this. Exception being Polak. He may not be that good, but he tries. That sounded bad as I typed it. I wish Roussel was still around.

Also, Val was a fricking train wreck from the beginning. It's like when the Dodgers went balls to the wall on Puig, except he actually contributed to the team.

I think it all ends up back at the front office and Benn. I wish they would have dumped Benn after last season and kept Ritchie and Zucc.

Can we panic now?

This team sucks.

Perry looks good and we actually had quite a few good scoring chances.

We are actually playing pretty good this game. I expect us to get a couple goals in the third to pull this out. We've had a lot of chances so far, just haven't cashed in.
