Where is the regional meet gonna be held in San Antonio? What day is the discus?

The meet is going to be at Northeast ISD Heroes Stadium, near Toyota Soccer Field in North San Antonio. You won't even have to pay to watch the throwing events since they're outside the stadium Men's 6A Discus is Friday at 5. It will be a great competition with around 6/7 guys over 170 if weather complies. Shot put will be at 2:30, 4 guys expected over 60 feet! The real show starts 9:00am with the 5A girls, where if my thrower is in a groove, she will break the 5A region record

What school are you at?

I'm not at a specific school cause I only coach privately part time cause I'm in grad school, but i mainly work with kids in the Rio Grande Valley/Laredo area! I have 6 in regionals meet this weekend.

Is she going to be a grad transfer? I don't think she'd be eligible immediately otherwise. Eligibility-wise she has 1 outdoor season left unless they throwaway 2021 season for covid then she has 1 indoor and 2 outdoor seasons left.

It just concluded, Cristion won with a 185' something! Competed in a Texas A&M cap the whole competition told me he was excited to get to Aggieland!!!! Conditions were a little windy so great result!

Side note: I jinxed it lol, my thrower missed the 5A Region IV record by a foot, has been standing since 1979... next year she's breaking it by 20 feet

He'll be a solid multi

DeMarco Escobar won yesterday with a 47.50 time in the 400m

It was awesome, he cruised at the end too and seemed he wasn't pushing it all. It was really impressive, just a smooth race where he was trying to qualify! He also ran crazy fast legs in the 4x200 and 4x400!

I also got to see Jace Poole, he went out very fast in the mile and didn't have a kick at the end but still ran a 4:15! Kate Ginther and Sabrina Garza went 2:14 and 2:15 in the 800, but lost to a sophomore that ran 2:06 and an Arkansas commit 2:09.

Camryn Dickson unfortunately false started in the 100 but ran a windy 23.39 in the 200! Carson Parker won her region in the mile at 5:05, Emma Little was runner up in 5:08! Jaiya Covington surprisingly got 3rd with a 13.77. Hopefully her and Jace Poole can get the wildcard spot and still compete at state. I'll try to collect more results on our signees!

Anyone know why "preferred walk-on" hurdler Hendrick Hundl of El Campo did not compete in his district meet? Injured or sick? I was hoping he would make to the state meet and would get close to breaking 14.00 in the highs? Connor Schulman is having a good season, but could use help in the highs.
Also, has prospect Blake Harris made his decision yet and signed with the Ags? Looks promising as a decathlete.

Let's add another state qualifier to the list! One of the top throwers in Texas lands with the Aggies! James Allen of San Antonio Churchill! Has bests of 63'2 and 175'9. He has a thin and long frame, could see him try the javelin, but his potential in the throws is huge!

Some decent throwers from San Antonio area. The east central kid at 65 is only a junior our guy from the Christian school and the kid from the small school going to Purdue and now the kid from Churchill

That's awesome! A junior thrower out of Brandeis Rafe Clendenin has thrown 180 in the discus! 5 girls below 12th grade in Texas over 155 in discus! Pin ones of East Central is crazy good, I want him to be an Aggie bad! Let's get all the top throwers! Getting Foster, Jitjeang, Harrison one year then Sanders, Davis, and Allen the next is AWESOME!

Does the east central kid spin or glide. I have never seen him. Retired from east central in 2016 so I have no clue
