Just read article on Aggie Soccer Awards. Sounds like it will be hard to replace Kristin Strutz -- leading goal scorer, offensive MVP and midfield MVP. 10 returning starters, though, and 11 newcomers. Defense should be strong again. 2004 should be a great year for the Ags.

There will be a new look to the Aggie soccer team come this fall. Even though the Ags return 10 starters, they will need help from their stellar recruiting class to seriously contend for a Big 12 championship. Interesting, that this past year was the first time that the scoring was led by a midfielder. Let's hope that one of the new freshmen forwards can pick up the slack.

You're right, the forwards do need to score more points and offensively hold on to the ball longer. Hopefully the freshmen will make a smooth transition from high school to college soccer, but that's probably not as easy as it looks. Pierson and Burnett did well last year, and Klovstad really came on this spring.
