He has dumped Uralkali but said the team is fine. Haas also co-owns a top NASCAR team with Tony Stewart.

F1 has become so popular in the States recently. I wish we had a fun 'home' team to rally behind.

Unless Toto bullies the field into blocking Andretti.

It would be nice to have a legitimate team that comes with full American investor support. A report on Reddit speculated that Andretti has an internal manufacturing division ready to go.

Looks like COTA is increasing GA tickets by more than $100 this year. I am pretty sure I paid $179/person last year.

Holy cow. Turn 4 is $636 now. I went the first year in 2012 and Turn 4 was like under $300. Easily the craziest price hike I've seen.

If you look at other sections, the pricing didn't change for some. MG Trackside is still under $700. It's Turn 4 the one that took a BIG price hike.

Is the pricing really crazy, though? I mean if it sold out in a matter of days and tickets were going for significantly more on the secondary market, they priced it too low.

The race didn't sell out completely until a couple of weeks before the race. At least the GA seats.

Oh and parking has gone up $50 as well.

F1 TV is the only way I know of to watch live. But no on board camera or team radio like you could do with a regular race.

it's a radical new side pod design from mercedes, most teams have a more traditional style but merc has figured out a way to package everything to drastically reduce the size. The picture on the right is from 2 weeks ago in Spain and then they bring the car on the left today.

It is a complete revision to the side of the car. At the previous test session they had side pods with a high air inlet for the radiators/coolers and an undercut for the rest of the airflow. Now there are almost no side pods, probably to get a smoother airflow to the rear wing
