We finished in 14th Place in the NCAA.

Making the cut was a very nice accomplishment. The men's golf team is in good hands. This is a team that will have top ten finishes in the very near future.

since this is aggie golf talk, im sure this has been touched on before, but why the hell is the TAMU golf course is such crummy shape? there seems to be no reason at all. this is a freaking agricultural school, why is that course like a prairie dog farm?

now im not the best golfer in the world, but i can hold my own with most people, and i played last weekend, and the greens are aweful, none of the traps are raked, still no paved cart paths, and i could go on.

why is it like that? does anyone have any info to calm my nerves?

yes i have. but it is my understanding that it is not open yet, except for maybe the range. plus im sure it will cost a freaking fortune to play. i make a decent living, but no round of golf is worth more than 40 bucks. its almost like torture, unless your a scratch golfer.

There are quite a few rounds of golf that are worth $40. You can't pay for the upkeep of a golf course and keep it in the shape you want it for less than $40 a round. Go ahead and play the beat up Muni's and I'll pay the $40+ and play a great course.

As for the Campus track. THe Ag dept. has zero input in that. When I was in school they did not want the Agronomy Depts. help. We could have had that course in great shape with Corp. donations of Equip. etc.. Go figure, its Aggieland.

Is Traditions even an open course? I was under the impression that you had to be a member to play there.

Traditions opened June 5th; unfortunately, it's a members only club.
