The reason we are below everyone else in RPI ast season is how bad we were especially down the stretch
I think Morrison is a technical coach so i am sure passing will improve. Defense has to get better the elite teams dig well and dig to transition offense fluidly. We havent for years and it is what the elite teams can do along with terminating pins. We have very solid pins but terminating out of system hasnt been good since Hollan Hans final year. We also rely too much on one hitter each rotation last season either Meuth or Lednicky and if either is off on their game we struggled. We might have a third this season if she grows into it and the tall RS can hit .225 or so with blocking angles that funnel hits to various areas of the defense we will get better and better. Just dont know how long it will take.
On paper and as a major university program in an Power 5 soon to be 3 conference we should be way ahead of the teams we are playign this weekend as solid of mid majors they are within their respective conferences
