Baring injuries, this will be a highly seeded NCAA team in Morrison's first season.

That was awesome. Every set a nail biter but the team never gave in. I figured we'd lose the 4th when FL tied it up and figured we'd would lose the 5th when we started slow in a set to 15. But the team just kept fighting. Such a great win for this team, this season and this program. Didn't take long for Morrison to get his first signature win. Well done!!

I missed most of it working late. But I got it turned on at 19-19 in the 4th set so I got to see the finish! It is now on ESPN app so I'm rewatching. Great win! First time ever I hear in Gainesville..
exciting game! every set a battle. Morrison has done an amazing job for sure. I think every girl is playing at their best and getting better. Except for Muoneke I think because of lack of experience. Needs to change something as she could not penetrate blocks. She hit in the negative so was an easy substitution but coach will help her figure it out for sure. Brooke called in again in back to back games and did a good job. Love how she plays coming off the bench.
Lednicky played even better than vs Arkansas and her line shots are back!
We had many bad service errors but so did UF. We also put good pressure on their serve receive at times.
Stats-wise we competed very evenly.

Love the fight after losing the first set. On the road, to boot, they played great and kept attacking.

Where can I find the home schedule?
I've read several places on how young we are. Everyday starters, what are the classifications?
Couldn't watch live, but was able to avoid spoilers. Great five win set! Quick question, at what point do the service errors outweigh the out of system passes? Also, any idea why Meuth plays back row? She seems shaky in serve receive and we don't seem to have a back row attack…
You can't really judge those results outside of the Georgia and Auburn wins. They lost their all American setter and have a plan b from an NAIA school. While she's doing her job, she didn't see the court in those upsets. Not trying to take away from the amazing win we had, but without Stuckey, this is maybe a top 20 UF team
Best win for the program since getting to the Sweet 16 a few seasons ago. People talk about missed serves but last night was the first time for me where the risk was ok
Against Houston our missed serves didn't look nearly as forceful and difficult. And I think I remember hearing we had 13 missed serves by the commentators in set three but finished with only 15 total so down the stretch we served really tell in the last two sets which we won
Glad to see Brooke Jeffery step up and put up decent numbers in her last two outings. Once for RS last night for OH position.
As for the comment about Meuth and back row we don't have but three DS total for the program at this time. Other than Fields all of them left under the previous coaching staff. And right now no one is playing lights out as a DS. Underwood looked good in parts of yesterday and made some critical digs in certain points but our back row defense is still the problem area if our opponent can get around our block. Houston made it look easy but we passed so poorly we weren't able to stay in system and their Libero is one of the top in the country so they stayed in system and dismantled us. Logan Lednicky could easily get national player of the week this week. Only way she doesn't is because we lost one match. Easily should be SEC player of the week but I think the major reason we won last night is because we partnered Lednicky with Cos in the middle and her performance. And we only had one bad outing offensively and Jeffery replaced and did a pretty decent job except for a three or four point run with a couple of errors in set 3 I believe. I will look more into the box score after watching the entire match in TV to see what I missed
Glad to see schools like Arkansas and Florida give the detailed box score on their website instead of the basic one. Give a ton more information.
Watched Arkansas and Auburn play on SEC Network during our breaks. Auburn looked bad last night…very pedestrian IMO. I know to take Florida to 5 they are better than what they played but i think the way we played last night we don't lose to anyone in the SEC at home and maybe only Arkansas or Kentucky on the road.

Freshman: Ital Lopuyo (RS), Margot Manning, Bianna Muoneke, Alayna Pearson
The future is bright! I know we had a 2024 on a visit a couple weeks ago, but I'm not sure if we have any commited! With what we bring back and the promise we've shown, I'm sure we can go grab another high caliber hitter out of the portal to replace Meuth and we only lose Hogan as well! We can go find a couple plug and play players that can contribute!

yup, while their backup setter was fine, you can tell the set quality wasn't up to Stuckey's level. Top teams have the best setters. I believe when Kentucky won it all a few years ago, they had the best setter in the country.Jack Pearson said:BingoAg4eva95 said:

I say timing! A lot of girls commit there during year like you said! But also sees how strong the roster is and how he'd rather go for the portal to complement everything we have coming back! I trust Coach Morrison and I'm excited for how he's going to retool this roster!

Someone mentioned a 24 was on campus recently? What position would that be? Seems late
She's actually committed to us! Amare Hernandez from McAllen Memorial High School in the RGV! Not many college volleyball players down here, so it's crazy to see! She is a force and hits a pretty hard ball! But she's 5'11 I believe! She's a solid track athlete and plays all 6 rotations! Could see her as a depth piece, not sure if she's on scholarship or not. My cousin coaches a school in her district and had amazing things to say about her!

When we fired Bird we lost a key recruit of 2024 who then reclassified to this season

London Wijay! She's now at USC! And was recently named PAC 12 Freshman of the week and had 24 kills the other day! She was from Southern California so I guess after the transition to Jamie she decided to stay home!

Just didnt get the most out of them or keep them in the program
Look at Cos and Lupuyo this season both in the program last year and Cos played very little and Lupuyo didnt play at all they are now significant pieces to the rotation along with a setter who didnt play but a few points her first two years
Those have all developed along with a newcomer who had committed to old staff and stayed along with two major starters from last season and two key players brought in likely by assistant coaches and that is your line up
