What a tremendous match! France dominated the first 45 but came out sooo flat in the second half. I figured they'd go into their second game with zero points until the spectacular free kick by Zidane. This game gave me flashbacks to two WCs ago, when Zidane scored one and delivered a textbook corner kick that led to another goal in the final against Brazil.

I don't think James (England's keeper) could've made a different play on Henry -- if he doesn't come off his line Henry has a wide-open angle, which is just as good as a spot kick. There's nothing else he could've done.

This was a great match!

I wish England had kept the lead, and Lampard is one of my favorite players from Chelsea. But I also like Zidane, and England isn't finished yet. And it was fun to watch, so I got my $20 worth.
