What is otter supposed to do with any of the goals that have gone in tonight? They've all come on heavy screen for crazy deflections.

Penalty kill shredded. Bobrovsky making critical saves all night and Otter isn't helping us down the stretch

The third one wasn't that way. And the power play goal that went above his blocker was incredibly late reaction with no screen or deflection.

Do you honestly see the same goalie this year as compared to last year?

Looking at a goal individually I would agree, but stop one of them. The other goalie is getting it done

The first goal there was no one within 10 feet of the crease and the third goal he was completely lost. I hate to say it but since his big playoff year Otter has been average at best.

No he's not the same, but blaming otter for tonight's goals isn't why they've fallen apart. The penalty kill has been atrocious, which means we're also taking some stupid penalties, and tbh they HAVE to finish more chances. We should have five goals tonight at least but we can't bury some of the elite grade A chances. If we're going to play the style we do, which is loose and aggressive, you've got to finish chances.

One of the worst choke jobs I can remember. At least in game of this magnitude. 4 unanswered goals. Penalty kill is absolute *****

The defense on that last goal was horrendous. You had three guys playing out near the blue line and one defenseman back near the net. WTF!!!!!!!!!!

Look, I've been right where you are about defending Otter but he was not good tonight. And every game the excuse has been the same like "what is he supposed to do?"

He has worse stats the wedgewood this season.

The only area that Otter hasn't regressed this year is in shootouts

Reminds me of that Avs game where we started 3-0 and lost 6-3

Elite teams are going to get theirs, and you do need your goal tender to step up and snag a few he shouldn't, but you also need your elite players to finish chances when they have elite opportunities. Roope alone had, two breakaways on net tonight and shot it right unit the pads of Bob. Those types of chances need to be converted more for this team right now.

If you want to hold Otter liable for the third goal, then that's fine. He probably should've done better to get something on that even though he was screened and it was deflected. But I just don't believe he can do anything else on the other three. An insane deflection 7 feet in the air, and snipe left upper 90 while being screened, and an awful deflection off your defenseman. And I say this agreeing that Otter has not been good for stretches this year.

Ottinger's goals saved above expected was -1.73 tonight. That's really terrible.

Bobrovsky was at 0.22.

Ottinger was not good enough tonight. He hasn't been good enough all year.

Some of it is how this team plays in front of him. However, if you take away the Calgary series Ottinger has been below average to average at best for his career.

I will add; his stats this year don't fill me with warm fuzzies. He's got to figure it out again, whatever it is for him. I also think there's something to be said about the coaches he's played and playing under. He was the next best thing under Bones, but now under DeBoer he's struggling.
