As a long time directv customer, is there any reason for me not to switch to stream?

I currently have two 4k receivers and a genie mini.

No. Can't understand why anyone would still have satellite unless you don't have reliable high speed internet.

I held onto the satellite for a long time. I even kept it while we tested fubo. When I called to switch to Stream, they tried to talk me out of it by telling me it was essentially the same, which confused the hell out of me because it's cheaper. Once I explained that to the lady on the phone, she then basically begged me to switch. Really weird conversation.

After switching, it's essentially the same thing. The interface takes a little while to get used to. Once you do, it's great. Plus, you can get unlimited cloud DVR. You can even find old stream boxes/remotes that are essentially the same as the DirecTV satellite remotes/interfaces if you just want that. The only thing I'd caution you on is make sure you have a good and reliable internet connection. If you have that, you never have to worry about bad weather ruining your signal ever again. It's not as cheap as Youtube TV, but it has everything we want and then some (Ballys, for instance). We love it.

I call every year to "cancel" and always get the new customer rate. Never had a reason to switch
