Who played goalie?

I think they sent a different group to Austrailia and let some of their other prospects play today, much like we did.
Gibson started in net. Poiroer was the backup; not sure if he played.

I know right, and I can one up ya, as I watched two games last night, simultaneously, both on crappy internet feeds.

My Devils did one of those split squad things where we played the Flyers at home and the Canadiens on the road, and won both by a combined score of 10-2.

The Devils radio announcer on the Devils-Flyers feed Matt Loughlin (wonder if he's related to Aunt Becky) was so excruciatingly painful to listen to, that I spent as much time listening to the feed of the Devils-Canadiens game even though it was only in French.

As long as the top seats behind the goalie can see the other end of the ice!

Yeah stinks, I actually checked over on Bally earlier to see if it was televised.

Instead I'm watching this stupid Islanders-Rangers games on NHLN, rooting for both teams to lose.

What is preseason hockey even like? Are teams trying to win? Playing young guys a ton?

At this early point in the preseason you'll find a combination of the regulars, AHLers, and a couple young prospects probably headed off to juniors for another season.

In reply to Grapesoda2525 Looking at the Box score, it's a stacked lineup tonight. They will do that at home for sure.

I think the NHL mandates you have to dress at least 8 NHLers for each preseason game. So they'll at least do that and rotate prospects and youngsters to varying degrees each game. The vets typically don't go full steam but they also aren't trying to get hurt or embarrassed by kids trying to crack the lineup either.

Preseason game results tell you almost nothing because of who is/isn't playing (for both sides), but it's the young guys best chance to show what they have.

Stars win 6-1

Pat Maroon fell on/ran over Wedgewood which got Benn and DeBoer irate. Called a bench minor on Dallas, no call on Maroon. Benn then got into it with Eriksson Ek. Very chippy for preseason. Almost like these two teams don't like each other or something.

Training staff checked on Wedgewood. Appears to be fine.
Maroon is a POS.

Scoring plays:

Looked for season tickets, and smaller packages - not a whole lot of seats left.
