Miro with a 4 point night to go with Johnston and Stanky ….. their line was awesome ( Benn with some major face off wins down the stretch).

Incredible comeback and the Kraken did us a solid beating the Jets in regulation.

I tuned out at 6-3… what on earth happened?! Will need to go back and watch the 3rd period and OT.

Unbelievable that they came back. Going to watch the third period replay after work. That said, guess I won't post at all during the next game.

I watched the recap with my coffee this morning:

• The Wyatt, Benn, Stankoven line went nuclear to keep us in and win that game;
• Hakanpaa and Suter paired together were about as bad as you could imagine; and
• Miro was the only defenseman with points (4).

The d-core was pretty terrible as a whole last night. At least three of SJ's goals came or resulted from really bad defense by defensemen, imo, the worst being either the fifth or sixth goals where not a single guy in front of the net decided to try to deflect the puck coming across the face of the goal, or Harley giving the puck to SJ just to the right of our own net. Otter wasn't great either, but the only goal that was truly poor or his fault was the first. That one cannot go between your legs. Can't happen. The others were either bad luck or just nothing he could do about them without help in front of him.

Avs get Walker and Mittelstadt in trades. I wanted Walker.

Wanted Walker too. And both those moves made Colorado a heck of a lot better. The Central just got significantly more difficult.

I don't think the Avs are done making moves.

I know the Avs drummed us the other day, but I still don't think they are a deep team. They are getting Nichuskinen back which is big, but are still held together by less than a handful of players imo.

This is true.

Landeskog is also projected to return just in time for the playoffs. I almost always prefer a top heavy team, but the pieces are coming together for Colorado to be much more than that. We need to finish 1st in the Central in a real bad way.

I hate the avalanche. Good chance we lose all 4 games to them this year.

Hanifin to Vegas. Great pickup for them.

I don't follow Vegas a lick, as I absolutely detest them, but getting Hanifin is a good pickup for them because Vegas actually gets very little from their d core on offense according to their numbers. Despite what people think because they have "big names" and guys people think are good, their d core really isnt all that, again according to the numbers. They're solid defensively, but give you very little in terms of production, and that's exactly what Hanifin does. He might turn the puck over a ton and play loose, but he'll give them a different dimension.

Ducks trade several forwards to Edmonton. Noteworthy because we play the Ducks next and it could help our struggling defense for 1 game.
