The Logan disrespect is misplaced. Anyone ever think Yuki's current form is in part due to RB's loyalty to Yuki during his first two years?

Do people not realize that slow cars that are squeezing performance are harder to drive than fast cars with a performance cushion?

This is mostly true, but not true for Red Bull. Max prefers a car with a lot of turn-in oversteer.

This is the real reason why none of his teammates can cope with the car, (Albon, Gasly, or Perez).

Zandvoort to drop off calendar after 2026.

Woohoo! One less playing of the Dutch national anthem.

Yeah, Sainz seems like he's in a "no man's land"… not quite good enough to be THE guy, but too good to be a 2nd driver. Weird deal.
I actually think he's good enough to be "the man" but Ferrari wouldn't let him unseat Leclerc. Half the time he's a better strategist than the guy calling it on the radio.,

Very cool for he and Charles, I'm sure. Excited for it to be Hamilton in that Ferrari instead of Carlos.

I'm going to miss Carlos in that other Ferrari. He seems like a really good dude. Hope he can work some magic at Williams and help turn that pile of crap around.

ol Georgie with some words for Max. No fights would ever happen cause most of these guys grew up soft as baby sh*t. But if something ever did go down, give me Bottas or Fernando vs the field.

I don't dislike him as person at all, just was extremely disappointed by his results at Ferrari and felt he did not ever really deserve to drive for them

For most of his tenure, I fee like Ferrari let him down more than vice versa.

"Max can't handle adversity"

He has matured some in that regard but he still has quite a ways to go.

But yeah his rough driving on the track has paid off nicely for him. The dude has some big balls and has only taken one nasty hit because of it that I recall. Silverstone was kind of scary when Lewis pushed him off at high speed.

I personally think he was far behind Charles a lot of the time, always fighting over P5 or P6 when Charles was scoring podiums. Just my personal opinion though, I think Lewis will be more on Charles' level and will help the team.

No doubt, LeClerc is the more talented of the two (between he and Sainz). Better qualifier, usually better race results, etc. I'd argue that until this year, Ferrari has let LeClerc down too.

The change at Principal has stabilized them tremendously.

So far so good in Abu Dhabi and the weekend hasn't even started

LOTS of action on track. F2 finale which is literally nearly tied right now (a 0.5 point difference), F1 Academy finale with 3 races, and either McLaren or Ferrari taking the constructor's title for the first time in over 15 years each.

I will say I am disappointed there's not a lot of exclusive merch considering how many important things are happening (Sainz done with Ferrari, Bottas/K Mag done with F1, Lewis last race with Mercedes)...my wallet likes that but as a cap collector one or two special edition caps would have been great.

Good for George. He's absolutely right and glad somebody is standing up to Max's tired act.

I love how Piastri is right next to George, stoking the flames so they wreck each other, for him to win the title next year.

Quote:

"I find it all quite ironic, seeing as Saturday night he said he was going to purposefully go out of his way to crash into me and 'put me on my f***ing head in the wall,'" Russell said. "So to question somebody's integrity as a person while saying comments like that the day before, I find, is very ironic, and I'm not going to sit here and accept it.

"People have been bullied by Max for years now, and you can't question his driving abilities. But he cannot deal with adversity. Whenever anything has gone against him Jeddah '21, Brazil '21 he lashes out. Budapest this year, the very first race the car wasn't dominant, crashing into Lewis (Hamilton), slamming his team … As I said, for me, those comments on Saturday night and Sunday were totally disrespectful and unnecessary."
Quote:

According to De Telegraaf, when the quote about putting Russell in the wall was put to Verstappen, he said it was "not true, I didn't say it like that. He's exaggerating again."

Verstappen went on to say that Russell was a "backstabber" for his comments. "The way he brings up all this nonsense, he's just a loser," Verstappen said. "He lies and cobbles things together that don't add up. I only voiced my opinion about his behavior with the stewards. Clearly, he couldn't handle that."
Quote:

Before Russell's quotes were published publicly, Verstappen was asked generally in his pre-race press availability about his interaction with Russell following the hearing, to which he said he had "no regrets at all" because "I meant everything I said."
"And it's still the same," Verstappen said. "If I had to do it again, maybe I would've said even more, knowing the outcome of the race results. I still can't believe that someone can be like that in the stewards' room.

"For me, that was so unacceptable because, I mean, we're all racing drivers, we all have a lot of respect for each other, we even play sports together, you know, you travel together, and of course, you have moments where you get together, you crash, you're not happy.
"In my whole career, I've never experienced what I have experienced in the stewards' room in Qatar. And for me, that was really unacceptable."

hmm.... strongly disagree

George is unlikeable and his two-face personality has been corroborated by other drivers. His rant also comes off as whiney and emotional, part of what he claims was said that night have already been reported as fabricated, he also refused to sit next to Max at the drivers dinner. Max for all his faults is nothing if not honest and speaks his mind as he sees it, like him or not he's at least genuine.

I need a hyper plane developed soon so I can come to Abu Dhabi every year without the 14 hr flight. What a phenomenal track. Amazing views from every grandstand. Uber easy to see F2/F1 Academy drivers here as well, way better setup for F1 Academy here than what they had in Miami.
