IndyCar finalizing media rights deal with Fox Sports
The NTT IndyCar Series is closing in on a new media rights deal with Fox Sports, and the agreement is expected to be announced within days, according to people familiar with the matter.
The Indianapolis-based property has been with Comcast-owned NBC Sports Group for years, with NBC taking over full-season rights in 2019 after previously splitting the campaign with Disney's ESPN and ABC networks. NBC extended for three years from 2022 through 2024. IndyCar has been in the market since last year looking for its next cycle, starting in 2025, with the suitors said in recent weeks to come down to NBC and Fox.
...
The series, owned by Penske Entertainment, gets about $20M a year in gross media rights from NBC Sports but sister company IMS Productions works with NBC to put on the broadcasts. Penske Entertainment President & CEO Mark Miles has said he expected an increase in the value of its media rights. Endeavor's Karen Brodkin and IMG Media's Hillary Mandel have served as IndyCar's consultant for the talks.
...
Penske Entertainment also owns Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Fox will no longer air NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend because of the way NASCAR's new media rights deals are structured, which creates an opening that now would be filled by the historic Indianapolis 500.

of the rumors that I have seen I think it comes down to finding a mutually agreeable date. I don't see TMS surviving more than 5 years at the current rate of growth in that area vs. having just one major (ish) race weekend. I think they will just sell the land and move on.Matsui said:
Are you serious!!! That's terrible terrible. Back to back years. It's been edge of your seat racing there. Seriously bummed. Any reason why?
Rumors are that Arrow is leaving sponsorship of McLaren at the end of the season. #IndyCar

Pourchaire hoping to stay in IndyCar after shock Arrow McLaren exit
Arrow McLaren's season of turmoil and changes with its No. 6 entry continues and potentially ends this weekend as promising Frenchman Theo Pourchaire, the reigning Formula 2 champion who impressed the team in his handful of starts, has been replaced in favor of Nolan Siegel.
The late decision came as a shock to the 20-year-old, whose post to X on Monday of, "Man I can't believe I'm gonna race on the legendary Laguna Seca this weekend. Can't wait to be there for the Grand Prix of Monterey" was liked more than 2100 times before he was informed that the team has changed its mind on having him complete the rest of the season in the No. 6 car in order to launch a new multiyear arrangement with Siegel.
...
For Pourchaire, who cleared his calendar to make himself available to Arrow McLaren for the rest of the season, the loss of an IndyCar seat comes with no immediate answers on how or when he'll continue in the series, but his output to date has not gone unnoticed.
As the news of the change made the rounds Tuesday morning, three prominent teams sought and received Pourchaire's contact information to discuss future opportunities. Although Pourchaire declined to comment on the matter when reached by RACER, he did confirm his interest in staying in IndyCar and racing for a new team.
