It was very impressive how easy Sam Whitmarsh made 1:46.1 look. A whole lot more in the tank for him. I'm guessing that it will take a time in the low 1:44's to make the team.

Whitmarsh and Miller are both in heat 2 of the 800 semis tonight and I like their draw. They have the best PBs in the heat and have a good shot at going 1-2 and thru to the final. Hobbs Kessler is there as well but I don't think he has the same 800 speed as them.

It's a learning experience for Sam Whitmarsh, after all the adversity he's gone through, the multiple heart surgeries, being told he may never run again, making it to this semi after his dominant outdoor season, hats off to him! Next year will only be better and he will be making many USA teams in the near future!!
