I don't think that period was THAT bad. We got out played but I thought we had some really good chances too. Colorado was always going to come out and shoot the **** outta the puck, and they did. Stars need the next one. Go down 3 and it's a wrap.

I'm very hard on Deboer for being a bit too subdued, but this period wasn't a lack of effort problem. We are a team that lives on taking their chances but not being wildass. The Avs are the definition of Wildass. It worked in game 4 for them, and so far through one period tonight. But it also can be their demise. They live on letting themselves be vulnerable to attack attack attack. It's worked so far, but there are 40 minutes to play. And just one bad rush can lead to a 3 on 1 the other way

I don't believe the period was played poorly by Dallas.
Colorado's thing is speed and skill.
Colorado is at home.
Colorado is playing in an elimination game.
Both teams played clean hockey and both had really good scoring chances. Neither team scored on any of those.
If the Stars can get a little more control on the pace or get any of the lucky chances that Colorado has gotten this game, this one is far from over.

Ceci just stood there in the second goal. Straight up doing nothing. First goal was a joke with blue liners in good position. However, plenty of other chances given up. Why can't the stars be the ones with their asses on fire?

Can flip this thing right here on the PP. otter has been really good and need that to keep up.
