it felt like wyatt was having success entering with speed, and often just dumping it in and following up.
But you are right, a good chunk of our PP time felt very stalled out again

I agree with you that it seemed like Wyatt was the only one who realized the way to break the high line was to dump it past them and win with speed.

Everybody else just kept trying to carry it in and do the short lateral/backwards pass to try to start the offense from the blue line. That wasn't working because they knew that was our plan

I think people forget sometimes that we really aren't a dump a chase team, though. Dumping it past the wall of defenders on a PP sounds good, but if you lose the puck getting bodied on the boards what good does that really do you. We do need to mix it up some, but we're a skate the puck in team.

The best way to do it is simply win faces, which we started to do.

Yep, we lost a lot of offensive zone faceoffs last night. Win more of those on the PP and things look a bit different. Coyle is winning 69% of his FOs for them.

The Granlund entry on the Seguin goal was actually our standard entry, we just got away with it because whichever Av was supposed to cover Benn on the immediate entry pass fell down.

They don't like Greig. I believe he hit a slap shot in to an empty net from about 10 feet against Toronto earlier this year.

I think he's been skating with the team for a bit, no? I don't expect him tonight, but maybe the next game. Feel like we would've heard more about the possibility of him playing by now. Also, they still have to take him off LTIR.

I don't think they would have brought him on the road trip if that were the case. I would assume if we win tonight he doesn't play in CO, but if we lose tonight I could see him in the lineup for game 4.
