We have started off well in some meets but slowed down at each split.

Need to change this today!

Our 5 right now is Maddie Livingston and she's far back

Hopefully we can move up, last year we started off strong and got stronger, don't like where we are now

But doing fairly well as a team. Need to keep it up!

Shewaye moves up, but we're now in 6th, no top girl leading us

Next check point is 4.1k

Shewaye moves up to 20th, but every other girls slides down

It'll take a miracle, still in 6th and we're going backwards

Through 5k Shewaye and Kennady moving up

Peters and Livingston falling

Looks like settling for another Top 10 finish. Better than farther down but ... !!

And of course Texas moves up

They have three in a bunch fairly high up. Darn it.

Texas literally stops giving scholarships to distance runners and starts focusing less on them and more on sprinting and field events and they'll make it to nationals

They might win it wow

no sugar coating this, this was a absolutely disappointing finish to a disappointing season. Few girls improved, many were injured. We came into the year projected to get 2nd at this meet. We easily got 2nd last year and only lost one girl. Everyone else aside from Shewaye Johnson and Megan Roberts (who didn't run at this race last year) ran worse. On paper, Texas lost 3 of their top runners, but everyone else they have improved dramatically. Arkansas' 4 and 5 improved drastically as well. LSU's top girls got better, Tulane upgraded their roster. This is the weakest region, most of the schools outside the top 3 don't put any scholarships or resources into cross country. We should be nowhere near them…

However I'm really impressed by Shewaye Johnson, what an excellent race from her!

Last year our top 5 finished 9, 11, 14, 30, 32

14 of those top 32 weren't racing this year… so we were expected to move up drastically
