Morrison develops players and is a damn good coach

Grow our NIL to compete.

Also, we made sweet 16 last season. Keep up the improvement and we will get to a point where players don't need to leave to have a shot at the NC.

Cooks leaving and the 2 replacements at Neb and Louisville were all planned. Kelly even had an escape clause in her c contract for the day Cook retired. Saved her a $300k buyout.

now, as far as transfers, perhaps they can leave in the next portal, but doubtful. a constant Final 4 program and an up and coming one, why would a player leave?

oh, a constant final four is the goal but I guess I'm thinking about the journey there. I'm sure there are other programs but I mentioned Baylor/Kentucky as they have had recent success but players are leaving them as well.

We've been lucky so far that Morrison is doing a great job keeping the team intact. I hope he doesn't become a hot commodity any time soon. At least our AD Trev Alberts knows all about having a top volleyball program.

For one, we have to keep brainwashing our kids so there's only one answer when asked where they want to go to school and play. We have to take advantage of there being so many of us now.

Went to the LOVB Austin vs Houston match tonight. Was hard to root for the home team full of ex-horn players.

Game was pretty good and Houston won 3-1. The announcer was terrible trying to get the crowd more excited. They need to figure out how to amp up the production.

Hoping we start seeing some Aggies onboard in the coming years. I guess with LOVB, they would play on the Houston team.

The Houston coach is the coach for the Turkey women's national team. I thought he looked familiar.

From what I can find, Morrison is a well paid for volleyball HC, but there is a big gap from where he is and the highest paid HC. Could easily double his salary and still not be the highest paid.

He seems to really like it here, 12th man, growing the sport, program resources, conference. Also, they just finished building a house, so maybe not interested in starting over.

I feel like he would stay if we matched an offer. Also, it shouldn't cost that much to match, highest paid is <$1mil.

Jaime and his family were out at the softball opener last night.

He is such an authentic and likeable guy with an absolute passion for what he is doing here. I hope he makes his entire career here and all the things he imagines happening here occur because of what he doing. First order of business for us is to get out to volleyball games and lets show him Aggieland loves volleyball.

I can attest this is true. Wife and I went to a game beginning of Jamie's first season. Now 2 year season ticket holder and waiting to renew for next year.

I'm not sure where recruiting services have them!

But I know Rodriguez is a very good Libero and broke the UIL state record with 43 digs in a match, her and Lacewell are from Texas. Bowcutt from Arizona and Adedeji from Oklahoma

Crazy to envision so far ahead, but that's what the great coaches do! When this upcoming senior class is gone, we'll have some great outsides led by Stowers, Fitch, Morris, Hernandez, and the addition of Bowcutt and Lacewell! We know Jamie loves the portal so we'll add an upperclassmen hitter as well! What we'll really need is 2 middles! We can still add to the 2026 class, but I'm sure we'll go after a great all conference type middle blocker or two to replace Cos-Okpalla and Perkins! Setter we have Manning and Musgrove after Waak, and Libero will be set like crazy with Applegate who was a high school all American, and Rodriguez who I bet will be as well!! This program is here to stay and I'm all for it!!

I recall Jamie saying his first season that volleyball recruiting is done 2 years out. The 25 class has been committed since his first season.

there could be some movement on the edges of the 26 class (we lost a 25 commit late), but staff is probably well into building the 27 class already.

New commit is at least as likely to be a 27 as an addition to 26.

I wish! I hate that there is no A&M gear for other sports aside from football! Jamie always has cool stuff and I'd love to rep Aggie volleyball! I complained last year that we should have individual shirts to purchase for players and they get a share of it! But in general, Aggie volleyball merch would be great!

Even The Warehouse has a very limited selection of volleyball related t-shirts. Rows upon rows of football and some other sports. Only 3 different volleyball shirts.

I have more free volleyball shirts through maroon club and attending games the last 2 years than shirts I have been able to find to purchase.

I'm guessing it is more about the belief of market size.

If there were tons of people buying t-shirts from CCs, they would likely have more variety. My guess is Adidas just doesn't expect to sell enough volleyball shirts to make it worthwhile to supply the retail channel with many (any?) options.

That said, every sport has their complaints. Baseball board is always complaining about the limited number of different uniform shirts available through the retail channel. I recall football fans complaining about lack of availability of various sideline polos.
