Barber is my favorite road course in the series. I would love to tour that museum and the grounds. And we haven't had a mannequin fall on to the track. So far anyway.

Cheating Penske failed inspection for qualifying. With the McLaughlin wreck they're locked into the 4th row.

Listening to Cindric it seems like some kind of bull**** technicality on the attenuator at the back of the car. And I'm no Penske fan boy.

Well that was fun. Shwartzman was fast but I just can't see a rookie winning this race. Palou is the class of the series no doubt but he's never won on an oval. Dixon is a crafty vet and would be my pick.

Not that he would have been likely to bump either of the violating Penske cars, but I feel bad for Jacob Abel that the Penskes weren't bumped down to LCQ. Long shot, but if either of the Penskes crash out at LCQ and Jacob has a clean run, he's in the race.

Cindric getting let go is CRAZY.

There was really nothing else that Penske could do short of selling the series immediately. Honda is pissed, the teams of course are pissed. I can't imagine Fox is thrilled, although there could be a short term boost due to the publicity of the controversy.

I'm glad Penske bought the series when he did, but it's time for someone to own it that is not affiliated with any of the teams and maybe someone that has little connection to any of the history of American open wheel racing.
