Over on the football forum, it mentioned 5 Star OL Jackson Cantwell visited on junior day.

He is a nationally ranked shot putter with a throw of nearly 75' as a 16 year old! His dad was a silver medalist and five time world champ in the event. He also visited with Pat Henry while here. That would be a huge addition if we can get him to come here.

I'd faint if this happens, I just don't see it coming true!!! He is elite and his dad was an Olympic shot putter and world champion Christian Cantwell! I really really hope it happens, but I don't want to get my hopes up. It comes down to Mizzou or Oregon! Yes we have an elite track and field program, but we haven't had elite shot putters for decades. We don't have any SEC caliber shot putters on the team right now and only one really great male discus thrower. And football wise, we've had two offensive tackles drafted in the last decade. In the most recent years we've signed 3 elite high school shot put and discus throwers, all left the program.
