Interesting that they put Robinson on 3rd leg and Farquharson 4th. Farquharson ran 4th indoors, but I think that was to put Robinson's speed (20.21 200m yesterday) on 1 to get to the cut-in, which is so important indoors. But Robinson is on the short list of greatest college anchors ever. I wouldn't move him.

And Hemphill on 1st leg. Looks like he did a good job. Hopefully just resting guys.

Interesting question. I was assuming they were just resting Nortje.

From the picture Hemphill outran the VT guy to the handoff. That VT scratch has a PR of 45.78 from 2023. Hemphill split 45.47 anchoring the B-team last week, so I guess he did earn a shot. But Nortje/Zamzow opened in 1:31.40 last week and Hemphill/Zamzow opened in 1:31.97 this week. Of course they were being pushed a little harder last week too.

He no heighted in the high jump and dropped out. Came in at 5' 10.75".
