Our Aggies will be competing at the historic Penn Relays this weekend, beginning this evening. This is one of the most storied track meets in history of the sport. Debuting in 1893, the first relay consisted of a 4x400 between Penn and Princeton. Nowadays there's over 150 colleges and universities competing at this meet!

This meet is (as it says in the title) all about relays!! We'll be running the obvious 4x100 and 4x400, but also the Distance Medley Relay, Sprint Medley Relay, 4x200, 4x800, and 4xMile! Our women won't run the 4x200, or 4x800. But it'll be awesome to see our men run a 4x800 and the DMR! I'm excited to see how we do! The competition will be excellent!!

Today some of our distance runners will be competing in the 1500, steeple, 5000, and 10000! I'm really excited to see our steeple group go at it! Debora Cherono, Kennady Fontenot, and Emma Little will be in a great women's race as will Victor Kibiego on the men's side! There will also be some athletes competing at Rice on Saturday and later I'll make a thread for that meet!!! Let's go win some relays and win this meet!

Absolutely! I'm think Cherono can go even faster the mora races she does!

Looks like it was a slower paced race and Kibiego came back to win it!! Must be very good for his confidence and mentality!!!

Predictions for our 4x4, 4x8, 4xmile, and DMR lineups?

I'd like to see Luca on the 4x8 to take a crack at college 7:08 record. That's not what is on the heat sheets, but don't know if those are final.

I wanna see the same DMR as indoors!! I think Luca would be better for the 4x800 as well!! I'd switch Luca with Cooper and have Cooper in the 4xmile! With Auhmad not in the 4x200, I'd love to see him in the sprint medley or even the 400 leg of the DMR!

But also not sure which athletes made the trip to Pennsylvania and which athletes are staying tk compete in Houston Saturday

They still had Campbell listed on the 4x100 and 4x200, maybe it's possible that he finishes out the season with us then does football with another team starting summer

Bryce Foster entered the transfer portal April 23 last year and finished the track season. I bet Campbell does the same.

The results say Ernest Campbell, Mason Mangum, Blake Holland, and Ja'Qualon Scott ran 39.71, good for 2nd overall in the prelims.

Men's DMR places 3rd with a time of 9:26.83! Not sure the exact order but online it has Luca Santorum, Cutler Zamzow, Sam Whitmarsh, and Cooper Cawthra. Looks like the 1200 got out really slow compared to indoors

Women's DMR finished last, not sure who ran

Men's 4x200 of Blake Holland, Eric Hemphill, Mason Mangum, and Auhmad Robinson place 2nd in the 4x200 going 1:22.23! South Florida won

I know we don't have depth on the women's side and need Jasmin Montgomery and Camryn Dickson for the 4x100 and 4x200, but I would've loved to see our girls run a 4x200, with either Bria Bullard, Latasha Smith, or even Sofia Iakushina

Yes they did plus 5 yards farther!

Men's Sprint Medley Relay placed 3rd with a 3:16.6! Caden Norris anchored with a 1:47.6! Finished just behind Penn State and Georgetown! Seemed like a very tight race

Wish it was streamed for free because the men's 4x800 will be insane later on today! The Aggies will look to defend their title against some very strong teams like Georgetown, Oregon, Penn State, Washington, and Villanova

And you have to love our men's depth, we will also be contesting the 4x100, 4x400, 4x800, and 4x1600 today! Let's win a few to solidify team of the meet!
