To be honest I'm not so sure, there isn't a cap on any event but maybe there should be in some distance races. Some schools just throw guys in there to use them as pacers which is within the rules but unfair.

Women's 4x400 places 7th with a 3:34… didn't get to see the race, did we switch someone out or did we just run out of gas. This would've been Jasmine and Camryn's 6th race of the meet! Seems like we had a rough start!

The 1st leg was really slow
Women finish the meet in 2nd however! 22.5 points behind Georgia.
Remember we have them 20 points. Lianna Davidson won 2 sec titles for us then left to Georgia and gave them 10 points.

And the women didn't score 400, 800, 1500, 5000… nor in the shot put, discus, hammer throw
Yeah a great finish, I'm just bummed because Georgia took one of our best athletes and now they win a conference title! And they also a historic recruiting class coming in…

Jameisha Ford won the 100, 200 4x1 and 4x4 and it didn't affect her any.
Latishia Smith ran the first leg on the 4x4 and got absolutely destroyed. We were waay out of it after that.

Safe to say we won't see Auhmad on the 4x1 at West Prelims. Those two 400s after were not up to his standards.
Let's hope! I also don't wanna see JQ Scott on it either! His potential scoring in the hurdles is just way too important! Not their fault we can't produce or recruit short sprinters!

We have no chance of scoring in the 4x1 at nationals so I don't see them doing it again...that said if running a leg on the 4x1 took that much out of him then he's got some serious conditioning issues and I don't believe that's the case. Today just wasn't his day.

Or could be mental… you spend the last 5 years focused on the 400, especially going into championship meets! Then most likely 2-3 weeks ago you're told yeah start working on handoffs with someone you've never worked with before cause you're running the 4x100… probably threw off his psyche for the meet and how he prepares!!
But also zero excuse for giving up in the open 400 just cause you're being pushed. He took it way too easy in the prelims and got a bad lane for the finals. Guy next to him made up the stagger and threw him off. Then just quit before the line. Even in the relay, couldn't out kick the Georgia guy so he cruised it in, not as bad as the open race though

But he's never had a problem recovering from the open 400 to the 4x4.
Jameisha Ford ftom South Carolina ran the 4x1, 100, 200 and still had the fastest 400 leg of any runner in the women's 4x4 relay.

I honestly wish I knew, but has to be some Russian to American version of the spelling! I know Aleksandr Solovev sometimes goes by Sasha! I wish I knew which one she preferred so I could only use that one!

Yeah I noticed that too. Sasha makes sense bc it's basically a nickname like Alex or Chris, but to spell a last name completely different is strange to me. Anyway yay for her medals!

If you told a team they were only going to score in one field event and they'd earn fourth place, they'd probably take it.
