Mary at a new career high 146 live ranking Salma plays in Wichita next week Carson starts playing again next month Ilinca, Lulu, Tilde, and Vi are all scheduled for ITF tournaments in early June.
Man, when Carson said "thank you for changing my life", it got really dusty in here. Mark is making an impact on these young ladies lives far beyond the tennis court. That's what matters!!
Blah, blah. Girls can go anywhere for "life coaching" and NIL/RS money. Winning matters.

What an absolutely ******ed comment. As if its an either/or anyways. The goal of any coach is to prepare his athletes for a future in their respective career. If they have the talent then for the professional league, if not, for life in the work force. Good coaching will result in impacts both on and off the court just as Coach Weaver has done for many girls that have come through A&M.

The poster I replied to literally said that "making an impact on these young ladies far beyond the tennis court" is "what matters", i.e. all that matters. That logically entails that winning doesn't matter. I was refuting this obviously erroneous claim. Which I would think would be uncontroversial. If our program wasn't winning, but the athletes raved about the coach's non-tennis-related impact on their lives, you people really would have me believe that you'd be happy? GTFO

If all that matters to you is if the ladies win or not, you're gonna be disappointed more often than not.
I can guarantee you the reason the former players come back to see the coaches is not because they won a few matches at A&M.
