Cooper Cawthra split a 3:51 on that mile at NCAA's last year

Dang, we were 12th last night. A new one got posted. Better run fast at SEC, but I'm doubtful we score big points even if we make it. Just not strong enough at the mile vs those other teams. 3:58 sounds great but he's 85th on the list.

A healthy Luca Santorum gets us those two seconds… also disappointed we brought in two sub 4 milers in Reece Sharman Newell and Youssef Asslouj and both didn't improve. Sharman-Newell didn't even run a mile once and Asslouj went 4:02

I also expect the Big 12 to go extremely fast because Oklahoma State was DQ'd in their attempt. Maybe the SEC will go as fast. Us, along with Florida, and Ole Miss are within the top 20 at 13th, 14th, and 16th.

Wonder what happened on the women's side. I figured they'd go a lot faster as well. Cherono did go 4:38 but got the baton nearly 9 seconds away from the lead
