It wasn't ever in doubt, but I was disappointed the seniors didn't play more. Burke didn't make it in until about 5 minutes left (and after I had to go), Labhart left early, Echavarry and Smith played sparingly. Of course they were all on at the final whistle because it was senior night.

I don't know if Burke is hurt or being rested or what, but I was disappointed. DeWoody and Olson didn't play at all -- the only girls on the team who didn't. The Big 12 tournament starts Wednesday, and maybe he just wants them rested and healthy.




I love seeing this. Congrats to the Aggie seniors.

I seriously hope this team can make a strong push in the NCAA tournament. This senior class was outstanding in their time here and hopefully they can go out on a very high note.

It was great of the players to come and thank us for coming at the end. I was in the front row of the student section and shook hands with a few of them. Very cool indeed.

you actually forgot about julie almeida...she didnt play either. i know she typically doesnt play much if any, but shes still part of the team.

and i was kinda dissapointed about the seniors not starting on senior night, or even playing. o well, GIG'EM big 12 champion AGGIE SOCCER TEAM!

You're right -- I forgot about Julie. She was recovering from an injury when the season started, so I sometimes forget about her. I actually thought she might be redshirting or something. Sorry, Julie.

I need to work on my typing skills, too.

I had a volleyball class w/ Julie & Linda last semester. Wonderful girls, real nice.

o ya and thanks to KU for being the top seed and putting us at #2, prevents us from having to face NU, KU, and t.u. (not too worried but you never know with the sips..) until the championship game. all we have to do in the first two rounds is take care of mizzou if colorado cant do the job for us.

does anyone else think garey needs more PT??? the girl has a left leg on her that could kill a man...G is gonna need to find a way to give some of extremely-talented freshman on the team more PT if hes gonna go and bring in that many POTY from so many states.

and i would imagine we're almost guaranteed to host the first and second rounds minimum of the NCAA tourny right? im gonna do my part to get over 6,000 people there!! lets show the other schools what the 12th man can do! (as well as show the most talented young HS ladies in the country that there's no better place to play!)

o ya, and another reason to give extra PT to some of the more talented freshman he brought in...girls with those accolades (sp?) come to play...not to sit on the bench. girls like garey and others can easily transfer out and get starting spots and full game PT at other successful programs...we need to keep those girls here if we want to build an even more dominant program.

P.S. has anyone ever seen Cydne Currie (sp?) play?

Whoa there, lay off the sugar...

First, these girls chose A&M for a reason. Each one of them wants to be on our team and wants to do everything they can for us. I don't see many of them transferring out for playing time... This isn't like football and quite honestly, with the loss of the Women's USA Soccer teams, going somewhere else for more playing time isn't a reasonable idea. A quality education is certainly more important, I should hope.

It is real interesting how the brackets matched up. Only three schools have ever won the Big12 Tourney, and A&M/Nebraska have pretty much dominated it every year.

Those freshmen will get their chances, don't worry. I like that G isn't using this year just to give his recruiting class experience in preparation for next year.
