Just thought you might like to know a little about one of the teams in League One, which is really the third-level table.

My father used to work with a lad from England that lived in Hull City...which i think is the largest town that is not in the Premiership. Hull's team, the Tigers, were in the 3rd division (which is now League Two) when I began to follow them. A couple years ago, they were very close to bankruptcy...but some ownership changes saved the team. Last season they finished near the top of the table and got promoted to the 2nd division, which is now League One. Well, they've won 9 out of their last 10 matches and are sitting at the top of the table. If they can hang on to their lead, they will get promoted for the second year in a row. Pretty freaking impressive considering the Tigers almost lost their side a couple years ago.

You all probably don't care...but i've always found the whole promotion/relegation system very interesting and i love to see the excitement by the fans right after their team has won a match to secure a promotion.

Anyways, GO TIGERS!

I think it's always fun when one of the lower division teams play in the FA cup against one of the Premier League powers. It's even more fun on the rare occasion they pull off an upset.

The only team I even half-heartedly follow that isn't in the Premier League or Championship is Yeovil. If I remember correctly, a few years ago they were promoted from the conference (which isn't really pro football) to the then 3rd division and it was the first time in decades that they were playing pro football. Now they're sitting atop League 2 (the old 3rd division) with promotion to League 1 a real possibility.

Other than that, I generally only follow a few Championship teams. Reading and Preston since Bobby Convey and Eddie Lewis play for them and Sunderland since that was the first team I took an interest in when Reyna played for them. Even though he's since left, I still check-in every so often to see how they are doing.

I used to love playing CM4 with lower league teams.... played Barnet from Conference at one time and brought them to Champions League in 2012
