Despite a cold, wet weekend, the #13 Aggies got the season started with a pair of win over conference foes Tulane and Tx State.
Saturday saw A&M take on the Green Wave of Tulane in a very physical matchup, which saw several choice bone rattling hits exchanged. Once the Aggie scoring machine got going however, Tulane found itself treadin water, final score Texas A&M 22 Tulane 6, for the full story go to http://aggielacrosse.com/articles/Tulane05.htm
Sunday saw the Aggies take on Texas State in a noon matchup. The Bobcats field one of the most improved teams in the conference and are expected to be a contender for one of the three LSA South division slots for the conference championship in April. The Aggies also want one of those slots and jumped out to a large first half lead. The second half saw a tough game with play geting very sloppy and physical as the Aggies emptied their bench to give their younger players experience. Final score: Texas A&M 15 Tx State 8
The Aggies next home game will be February 5th at 7pm under the lights as the Aggies take on former SWC foe Houston, more to come on that matchup later this week
