DC United vs. Chivas USA at 2pm on ABC.

I predict a FC Dallas vs. Kansas City MLS Cup in November (in Frisco).

for those that don't know, the All-Star game will be the MLS All-Stars vs. Fulham of the EPL!

Fulham, huh? I hadn't heard that yet. Interesting.

Speaking of Fulham...Brian McBride scored Fulham's second goal in a 3-1 win over Portsmouth...and his manager is speaking well of him.

Now that i'm living in Dallas, i'm going to try and follow FC Dallas a lot closer than i did in the past. i'd like to see a match at their new stadium in Frisco when it's done.

Dallas is absolutely loaded this year. Ruiz and EJ upfront with Ronnie O'Brien and Mulrooney in the midfield and the addition of Vanney from Bastia helps out the back line. If they don't win the west, I'll be surprised.

KC is a good pick from the East but DC United should be tough again although losing Ryan Nelson hurts. Their midfield is strong with Moreno and I really like the addition of Guppy...and some kid named Adu should improve as well.

Better enjoy Johnson while you can. Unless he just refuses to leave the U.S. for family reasons, he'll be gone soon.

That kid has "it."

I have no problem with that. If he continues this form for both the national team and Dallas, I think a club from England will come calling by the end of the summer. Of course one thing that could keep him here till next year is the whole must have played 75% of the national team's matches the last 2 years to get a work permit.

ManU and PSV Eindhoven are already interested in him

If Dallas is going to win the MLS cup it has to be this year. EJ will likely be gone after this year if not before and Carlos Ruiz's contract with MLS ends this year as well. So Dallas could be looking at an empty pantry next year.

MLS season took so long to start up that I starting following high school soccer (Regional tournaments are this weekend). I just want to be at a game. Hopefully when I move to san antonio by the end of this year, san antonio will have gotten all the pieces in order for a team to land there.

Screw San Antonio...that expansion team is coming to Houston.

Oh and if ManU and PSV are interested in him, I would much rather him go to PSV. He wouldn't even sniff 1st team football with RVN, Rooney, Smith etc. around. At PSV he would have a chance at a apot and then maybe move on to England after he has honed his skill a bit (ala Robben)

I think any team is going go to Houston before SA. If SLC is a big success then I think that SA should be chomping at the bit to get a team, given that their market is similar to SLC in that the only other major competition is the NBA.

If I was going to stay in Houston then I would definitely be pulling for a team in H-town before SA. But being that I will be in SA I am pulling for them (besides I hate the spurs)

San Antonio is already chomping at the bit: http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/news?slug=mlssanantonioteam&prov=st&type=lgns

Under terms of the agreement, the league would grant the city an MLS club if an ownership group were secured; 5,000 season tickets were sold by August 17, 2005; and plans were finalized for the construction of a state-of-the-art soccer training complex, which would include youth soccer fields.

cool. i like the idea of having a team in San Antonio. i'm trying to follow Dallas more this year but an in-state rivalry could make it more interesting.
