A friend of mine who is a soccer fanatic has been talking all week about how UNC womens soccer is the best in the nation, blah blah blah and how our team had no chance today. Does anyone have the score or know how to find an "in progress" box score? I think it started at 5:00

Just talked to some friends who went to the game. UNC - 0, A&M - 0. Aggie defense shut em down!

Am interested in those more knowledgeable in the sport (than I) and who attended.

I was there and have a limited view.

Understand, I know little other than escorting my boy for 10 years to practices and games.

The girls...

North Carolina seemed to have better overall skills... especially their defense. Good ball control.

What irritated me was Carolina was typically 1st to the ball. Getting good position inside the Ags for the ball or coming forward or back to get the ball.

Our midfield is decent and we can get your attention when we make that hard charge on offense.

As far as our forwards.. Kat looks smooth, quick and is reasonably agressive. Would like to see her play again.

Thoughts?

These two teams have been getting together in Houston for a few years straight now. I wasn't able to make it to this game, but have made it to two other UNC-A&M games here. This part of what AgCentral said

pretty much sums up what I've seen in past matchups. The first game I saw we got beat pretty good...the second game was close, but still a loss. It sounds like UNC is still a step faster, but this time it wasn't enough for them to score. I like the way this A&M team has been the past few years: THE team to beat in Texas, and pretty much the whole Southwest for that matter. The main reason UNC keeps coming here to play is to attract the top players from Texas...problem for them is, the home team is keeping 'em home now. Not to mention some coast to coast cherry picking. Coach G. might be closing in...
