Raven I enjoy your post concerning the landscape of college tennis. You seem to have a balanced view of the situation. I believe that the Texas Coach spells his last name ...Center...

With that said this isnt really your fathers tennis conference. It actually resembles the compitition of the early to late 70s. During that time Trinity of San Antonio won two national championships and put out like 10 pro players. They were independent and ruled much as the Pro group from waco. Just behind them was Rice and SMU. The next group of really competitive teams were Texas, Arkansas, TCU. The southwest conference champion seemed to always have to battle every week to survive much less dominate. It was tough...

Big 12 will continue to be a top conference just a step below the SEC....but not by much. As for Texas , no tears necessary. Just the occupational hazard of playing inexperienced players top to bottom. They know where the winners circle is...been there before and will be again. Truth is outside of the top 5-8 teams in the rankings there is not a lot of difference from 9-40...

uh, rocket...that's bull**** and you know it. i know it's disappointing when the winningiest team in college tennis history is barely holding on to the top 40 and is 2-5 in conference, but don't make crap up.

going to the "playing young guys" card doesn't fly...we've got young guys, too. recruit better, develop players better, or bring in transfers...but don't act like the only reason y'all are down this year is because you've got young guys. y'all are down this year because they just aren't as good as who y'all have had in the past.

Actually you might want to ask your own coaches. I have heard and read them both say there is not a lot of difference between those teams. I understand there are alot of experts on this site however how can you explain a #45 North Carolina beating #6 Duke last weekend? And if it is not true than how do you explain a #38 Texas beating a # 10 Texas Tech in Austin this afternoon 4-1. It was just a few weeks ago when the Red Raiders came to town and handed Texas a 5-2 defeat. There are other examples of similar upsets this season.

I have known Steve Moore for 12 years. We were friends before he went to ATM and we are friends now and he believes this. Cass does too. There are only a small hand full of elite teams. In fact there might just be two or three.
I understand your hatred for all things surrounding The University of Texas. Just investigate the facts before you start spewing your venom.

saying that i don't agree with you is "spewing venom"?

so when you disagree with me, is that spewing venom?

when you were yelling at aggie fans to shut up at the match last week, was that spewing venom?

when you talked **** about dakki's eligibility last spring, was that spewing venom?

when you insulted khaled in austin 3 years ago, was that spewing venom?

i have no problem with you personally, rocket. you've been much more personable on your new user name, and we all have something in common with our hatred of knoll. you just need to learn not to get so bent out of shape when people mess with you. you don't have to leave, just grow some thicker skin.
